  1. Aye, I guessed that. He gave a long, multi-point answer to a question, talking about wanting better results against the OF, how hard the players work etc. It wasn't a case of "Are you worried the fans are upset? No, I don't care" !
  2. If you watch his interview on MFC TV his answer was much longer and he didn't say he's not bothered.
  3. Maldini is 6'1", and while I don't necessarily disagree, if you play against teams that like to pump high balls into your penalty box, it makes sense to have at least one defender who can win them in the air. Being tall doesn't mean you lack ball skills - Alan Hansen is 6'2" for example.
  4. It was in response to Green's statement. If Green had made the same comments about another SPL club, they may have also responded in a similar manner. It didn't have anything to do with the poor performance on the park, so who cares?
  5. A statement? It was a game of football, not some political scandal. I'd much rather they were spending their time teaching our defence to manage short corners than waste time crafting weasel words for a press release. Let's see their statement on the park at 3pm on Saturday.
  6. Because it's about as likely to happen as steelboy emailing an apology to Higdon.
  7. No, it's not. McCall repeatedly said his number one transfer aim was to find a holding midfielder to replace Jennings. The fact that he didn't manage that does not make him negligent. It might make him ineffective or even incompetent (although I don't believe that), but that is a different charge all together.
  8. The only surprising thing is that people are surprised. Rangers could field their U-12s and McCall would still find a way to talk them up as favourites. And I don't want to hear this "what he says to the players is different from what he says to the media" bollocks again.
  9. Exactly, Manager is responsible for mindsets and tactics, and as usual, the team is not mentally prepared.
  10. I used to think that, but whether he does or not, our performances on the park have reflected the attitude McCall presents to the media; at best, too respectful, at worst, just feart.
  11. Also currently advertised on atdhenet.tv and eplsite.com
  12. One of things that struck me as odd when I moved over here. They use wintergreen as a flavour in lots of things.
  13. I told my gaffer today that I was hyper and could smell the wintergreen! He's a season ticket holder at greyskull:)) he said what that? I had to explain that it might be the same as ralgex? Anyone remember stingy baws from wintergreen?
  14. First problem is games moving to weird times. Lot's of people have kid/family commitments in the mornings and can't make 12pm kickoffs. I was 17 before we had a computer in the house and there weren't 50 matches a day I could watch for free on it like you can now. Plus the 50 games a day you can get on cable/satellite. Just to name a few.
  15. See, I didn't read it that way at all. To me it says "so let's see you treat our fans better than usual and stop your whining in the media about bigotry, conspiracies, cheating etc" albeit in a nice way.
  16. I have seen us lose far too many league cup games to 'inferior' opposition in the past to think that we 'should be able' to beat any lot. Not to say we don't have a great chance, because I think we do. It's just not the banker so many people on here seem to think and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we lose.
  17. If we put in our normal Ibrox performance, we will lose an early goal and lose by 2 or 3. I just hope we manage to get our attitude right this time around and take the game to them. Then, and only then, can we get a result.
  18. Started off at Morton. One of the most naturally gifted players I have every seen. Managed to somehow get past players without moving! Pity he was a lazy bugger. EDIT: I see he scored 133 goals for Morton in 246 games. Not too shabby.
  19. And, of course, big Andy Ritchie.
  20. Barry John Corr Brian Coyne Brian McLaughlin
  21. Alfie Conn EDIT: I thought of it first, but had to answer the phone
  22. Aye, Blackman has had 8 starts with Sheffield Utd. this season and scored 4 times.
  23. Because even with the mismanagement they have had a Board level, they should still have sufficient resources to better us. Thankfully, except when there is silly money involved, football doesn't work like that.
  24. I would say the fans are definitely the club, and for Green to try and separate them when it suits his argument is just more of his BS.
  25. The policy that has seen our team improve over the past few years? Aye, pure mince.
