  1. I'm always amazed when private deals suddenly become public knowledge. Either football is the only business in the world where people discuss their contract negotiations in the open (and don't mind them being shared on the internet), or these stories are just stories. I have no idea if he will end up with us or not, but I tend not to believe people that claim knowledge of the offers/deals etc.
  2. The reports yesterday said she was staying back to work on the deal. If you can believe the reports, of course.
  3. The reports I read said that personal terms had been agreed, so I imagine the includes the wage demands. Not to say it's a done deal, because these things are never 100%.
  4. None of the links that were posted last week were active. Hopefully there will be a few running tonight.
  5. Based solely on the quality of his crossing, he has to be a proddie, no? Edit: REMOVE THIS POST NOW!
  6. Obviously his new training regime helped him make the big step up.
  7. This, plus a quote saying it is his 'dream move'.
  8. Might be. According to wiki, he signed an 18 month contract at Ipswich in January this year, and that would suggest a transfer fee would be required or some sort of deal needs to be made. Unless they are just wanting to offload him to clear the decks.
  9. Celtic's bid for Johnny (2 million quid) Russell was 500k. I like Hump, but I think he would be bench warming with that crew.
  10. Dundee Utd don't want to sell. We do.
  11. Clarkson is a starter for McGhee at Bristol Rovers - I doubt he is going anywhere on loans.
  12. That means we must have been interested, seeing as The Dons entire scouting effort consists of reading 'Flow's private tweets.
  13. If any manager can get Riordan to screw the nut they will have the bargain of the decade.
  14. Egg on our face if we did.
  15. All this plus English clubs can recall loan players at any time if they are at another English club. If they are in Scotland, they have to wait until the end of the loan period.
  16. Generally, I find that to be the case. Any more inside info on "Jennoe" and his lack of first team starts?
  17. I think this is a key point in any tactical discussion. You can have the best tactics in the world, but if the players don't execute, or are just off form, they won't work.
  18. What's the point in trying to reason with the ref? When you are 5 years old you learn not to argue with them. They never change their mind and players shouldn't be getting involved.
  19. Based on our lack of selling the last couple of seasons, I wouldn't be surprised if we had to sell 2 players.

Sometimes I think sub-titles might help
  21. It's Motherwell. You take what you can get and be grateful we're still in business every year As much as I enjoyed us winning the Cup, I had as much fun watching us win the First Division under Davie Hay. It was the first 'proper' thing I saw us win, and after a couple of years of mediocrity in the 2nd tier we had an incredible run of form.
  22. It's meaningless because it's obvious that the club will be telling the interested parties how much they want. That won't stop low ball bids and it shouldn't; bidders should be trying to get the best deal But that doesn't mean the club will accept them. Negotiations don't take place in the newpapers.
  23. Last season, that consistency helped us to 3rd in the League. McCall would be mental to have changed that.
  24. If we are knocking back offers, the board obviously has a price tag in mind. Broadcasting that to the media is meaningless.
  25. Or get used as a sub, or played in a different position (like Kerr against Kille). Youngsters, regardless of talent, blow hot and cold. They also lose the 'unknown' factor once teams work them out. Ojamaa is a great example of that. One of his advantages last season was teams hadn't matched up against him before. This season, they know what to expect and set up to counter him much more effectively. It's easy for a young player to lose confidence that way.
