That seems to have been Killie's superpower so far this season; and it's been working. Great result, especially considering the injury situation, and you can't beat a winner at the death. Keeping us above Rangers and equal with Celtic is a nice bonus too.

Tell me your age without telling me your age. Full backs always took the penalties because their main talent was blootering the ball. Meanwhile, take your pick...

Hope Casey paid at the gate to watch that one go in.

6 month loan to Kidderminster Harriers.

Spittall and McGinn were regularly slagged off as useless in their first season, so not sure that is a good measure of player quality. Same for Goss who many fans were saying was no big loss in the summer. There are countless examples of players we have signed taking a few months to settle in, but every August we see the same old posters rolling out the same tired script. I can only imagine how bad it would be if we'd lost a league match this season. Part of the fun of watching a team like ours is seeing new players and youngsters develop over the course of a season. That is never a straight line progression. If you want a team to buy instant success then Motherwell is not for you. Even Chelsea are struggling with that approach. Grab a beer (or beverage of choice) and enjoy the ride. It's why we love the game.

Should be even easier then (even though we are slashing the wages budget this season). Been waiting patiently to see your list of top players we can afford (and who want to sign). Now would be the perfect time to share it.

"Not that kind of player" is the phrase usually rolled out. I think it's true most players don't intend to crock an opponent. Plenty, however, dive in with the intent of stopping them by any means necessary without thinking about consequence. That is still reckless.

I'm not sure if they have made good signings or made their bad pitch worse. From our perspective we just need to execute better. Simple. Not easy, but simple.

Wenger said it takes 6 months for a new player to get up to full speed in a team, and that's if they move from the same league. If they come from a lower division or a different country, it can take longer. What he never said was to judge a new signing after 2 league games.

Some teams use the "earn the right to play football" mantra. From what I've seen from Killie so far this season they have adopted the "earn the right to stop football" mantra. The best way to counter that is with an early goal - easier said than done, but we need to be on the front foot right from kickoff.

Watching the Aston Villa game and noticed that like a lot of clubs, including ourselves, they have artificial turf between the edge of the grass pitch and the walls at the front of the stands. The difference is they used a brown colour to make it look like an old-school track. It's a nice touch, as I always think wall to wall green looks a bit weird.

Miller isn't going to start every game. If you want our youngsters to develop then their game time needs to be managed, even if they are fully fit. Plus, of course, none of us know any details about who is injured and who isn't. SK knows Robinson's side is going to try and muscle us off the park, so we need a some size in the midfield, at least for the first 45 mins or so. I guess SK's unbeaten away record isn't sufficient to avoid criticism before this match even kicks off.

Or Dundee Utd to team back up with his old Livi buddy.

"I'm not technically savvy" says grandpa as he posts another covid conspiracy theory on facebook while complaining about immigrants in his whatsApp group.

If that's the case then we need to get people educated on the convenience of e-tickets instead of queuing up on matchday. Assuming you can buy them on matchday of course.

It's a bit of a lottery when it comes to League Cup games, but often there is no (legal) option. I didn't see anything listed on St Mirren TV either. Fingers crossed though.

According to SK:
-
I've been lots of places where you pay at the gate and they give you back a ticket stub with your seat number on it. (Or you just label a small section of seats PATG). A nicer solution would be buying online and having an e-ticket delivered to your phone; that should take care of most people and massively reduce the number of people that end up buying on the day from the ticket office.

Of course we are, but every time a youngster leaves we hear "we didn't do enough to keep him" trotted out. Now, when we're telling them how good they are we're getting "touting him already" trotted out. We just need "why didn't we get him to sign a new contract" for the full set.
-
Alternate take: we are showing him how valued he is and encouraging him to stay with us.

Doesn't need to be fancy. In the US at least you can get something the like the Square Reader which lets you read chip and pin, and if necessary, even magnetic stripes. I'm sure if this isn't available in the UK there will be an equivalent.
-
SK talking this week about still needing to move some out to get some in, so I suppose it all depends on who we can offload.
-
At least he's typically useless for both sides.

Of course it will be a tough cup tie, but we've nothing to fear here. We have a much better record than St Mirren since SK took over. In fact, despite the media praise being heaped on them, after we beat them under SK in Feb last year they only won 3 more games that season. Robinson will no doubt have them amped up for this, but I think we can edge this one.
