  1. I don't know if he actually writes them - I'm sure they are managed by various parties at the club. I'd hope, however, that they are based somewhat on his input.
  2. Agree with that. Like you, there are still things in there I disagree with, but not surprised to read that a tabloid has taken an old interview out of context to grab some headlines. Fair play to the guy for being up front with the fans.
  3. It's only fixed punishments they don't want; they haven't advocated 'no punishment'. You might be right, but it could be they want to punish Rangers with a bigger penalty than a club that has honest financial issues.
  4. That's unfortunately true. Players and managers in the SPL aren't going to want to see their wages cut, which is the likely consequence of kicking out Rangers. While the fans from most clubs want to see the sporting integrity of the league upheld, even at the expense of available playing budgets, the employees of the league obviously want to protect their income.
  5. Not that I'm considering it, but are you even allowed to cancel? I thought signing up commited you for the year, so if you cancelled your credit card/direct debit or whatever, you'll still owe.
  6. Not after the appeal panel included Lord Carloway (you'd hope). And their report was pretty detailed and damning.
  7. From The Herald's article If the court rules it illegal, I'm not sure what the SFA can do (as I recall, Sion lost their court case). However, it looks more like Rangers are trying to bend the rules and have a temporary uplifting of the ban so they can sign players over the summer.
  8. BBC web site says it's just the transfer ban they are trying to overturn.
  9. I read some quotes from Lasley earlier in the week where he seemed he was ready to sign his deal once 'a few small details' were finalized.
  10. Maybe I'm a bit old fashioned, but does it matter that your a left footer when you're playing in the centre of defence?
  11. As McCall has said on a few occasions, the Board told him they expected to sell one player as season. The 200k shortfall would appear to be largely down to our lack of selling this season.
  12. Of course. Otherwise they would be playing for a big team.
  13. So that's what petrol blue looks like. I'm liking it.
  14. Aye, it's a bummer having to settle for a Champions League spot this season.
  15. Seeing as there isn't even anything to vote on, I doubt you'll be hearing anything any time soon.
  16. They have been recently, but in the old first division days, they could be good.
  17. They should, except there will be different rules in place by then. That's one of the problems now - the SPL doesn't have the proper mechanisms in place to deal with the current situation.
  18. I don't disagree with your main argument. The answer to that specific question, though, is that teams like Killie, Hearts etc. have built up large debts they wouldn't be able to service on a First Division budget. So it's their fiscal irresponsibility that is likely to be the driver for them voting to allow a newco into the SPL.
  19. As long as the Accies players don' try to kick lumps out of us before our Champions League game.
  20. If that's what you are looking for you have come to wrong thread.
  21. The date when the discounts stop, followed by the date where the season is up and running and you'd pay less if you PATG.
  22. The only way we could afford him at this stage is on a pay-per-play deal. With his injury record, I'm afraid the guy is a liability for a club with our financial restrictions, and we can't tie up a wage as risky as that.
  23. It's very likely that this debacle with it's postponements, appeals etc. is going to rumble on long past the season ticket buying deadline.
  24. I'm guessing he will stay local(ish) and end up at Blackpool.
  25. Hope they are playing in the North East. Be nice to see a home game.
