  1. Only if we knew we couldn't honour the contracts when we agreed to them. Otehrwise, it was just poor business judgement. Rangers, on the other hand, knowingly cheated.
  2. Mass exodus, signing panic on the forums - is it summer already? The cold facts of the current climate are that clubs are cutting budgets and there are more players than there are clubs. I'm sure whatever happens by the time we kick off our (brief) Champions League campaign, we will still have a decent team to put on the pitch.
  3. Aye, but he's not going on his holidays, he's trying to improve his career. And at Blackpool he could stay beside all the rich footballers in Southport or Lytham.
  4. First things first. I'm just waiting to hear official confirmation we are actually in the Champions League.
  5. Yes. Go back and read the threads over the last few weeks. Many of the posters are saying that he SPL is corrupt and they will not support under any circumstances if newco is allowed back in.

The Germans think fiscal responsiblity and safe standing is OK too. We can't manage that either.
  7. Fair enough. Many on here, though, are saying they will turn their back on the SPL if newco is there. Just wondering if that still holds true if we vote against.
  8. What if Motherwell vote against it, but newco is allowed in anyway?
  9. That's partially true, but I bet if you let everyone into Fir Park every week for free, we still wouldn't have to ever put up a "Ground Full" sign.
  10. Wee bit of a difference though.
  11. In his MFCTV interview, McCall said there were a few players (who he wouldn't name) who had knocks and been playing through them - so he might not play them today. Maybe Higgy is one them.
  12. I see in The Herald today that Butcher is keen on getting Clarky to Inverness.
  13. MFC tweeted the Delvin news yesterday, so definitely correct. Good to hear.

Really? Even in the Motherwell support there are plenty of eejits who would do exactly that. The bottom line is that in the 70s and 80s, there were lots of tanked up morons who, on occasion, made going to a football match a miserable experience. That is why the polis and the authorities came down heavy handed, and why alcohol was banned from the grounds. We can argue whether it was an overreaction or not, but it's clear that is why all the extra rules and regs were put in place. It's going to take a lot longer to rid ourselves of these constraints now than it ever did to introduce them.
  15. Haven't seen much of him, obviously, but when I have been reading the Utd. forums, the fans really rate him and seem to reackon he has been by far their best defender.
  16. Voted for by the players, so no real complaints.
  17. Players don't care any more about the good of the game than the Boards of Directors - they are all part of the same system. Very few are going to bite the hand that feeds them.

Because, historically, a significant section of Scottish fans (and we all know who they are) are incapable of behaving. Unfortunately, that has had a knock-on effect from drinking inside grounds to partying on the pitch a the end of season.
  19. As long as we don't play like we did in Nancy.
  20. Maybe he just feels that when he comes on as sub he doesn't deserve the plaudits and, instead, leaves those for the others.
  21. No' bad. Up there with when we won the First Division with Davie Hay.

I doubt Rangers will lose to St. Johnstone in their final game.
