  1. If we do get that Champions League place, this is one of those occasions where Player of the Year should just go to the entire team. (How's that for a cop out?)
  2. I think all he was trying to say was that it's finishing 3rd that is a great achievement regardless of whether the reward for that is Europa Cup or Champions League.
  3. No luck involved from what I saw. Higgy has a great touch and he has scored a few goals by passing them into the back of the net.
  4. Goal up on MFC TV now, and highlights up on the Beeb website.
  5. I'm 83% sure that at least 51% of what is post is better than 75% accurate.
  6. It might be bad, but it's not as bad as having to rely on Twitter or BBC updates!
  7. Now we have the Well Society, we should be the ones involved in such a business decision. So give us the facts and let us decide.
  8. Just because we discuss it, doesn't mean it's true. And I'm 100% sure that 99% of what is written on here is 110% guff.
  9. Aye, but they're not going to beat us - so not a big problem.
  10. Ridiculous. Why would Clarkson want to play second fiddle to Porter?
  11. Yes, but the question was about newco allowed back in the SPL. With appeals etc. the tax cases will likely be rumbling on years after the vote on any newco so we won't know the verdicts on the alleged crimes until long after the newco votes takes place. Or Rangers might come to a settlement with HMRC and pay them without admission of guilt. How does that affect punishment?
  12. I agree with that. My problem is that all this newco malarky (if it happens) will take place long before we hear the out come of the tax cases in particular. It's such a mess right now, I'm not sure what my preferred sanctions would be. If the SPL is serious about multiple year point deductions, stripping of 75% of revenues, change of voting structure, and maybe revocation of a Euro license for 2 or 3 years, I could live with that *if* administration/newco was all we were dealing with. If it is shown that there was years (or decades) of systematic cheating, I'd want newco kicked out the league.
  13. And it's the 'allegedly' that is one of the issues. What if Rangers form newco in June and are voted back into the SPL and subsequently found not guilty of any tax avoidance or player contract fiddling? Are people OK with that?
  14. Exactly. Like I said before the St. Johnstone game, I'd much rather be in our position than Dundee Utd's position. All we need to be worrying about is winning our own games and 3rd position will be ours. You can't ask for more than being in control of your own fate.
  15. Does the Llanelli tie on S4C count?
  16. Nah, I was just confident the results would work out for us this week. I had no doubt that Utd would start dropping points in the run in.
  17. Do they still have it? Just sayin' like.
  18. Article says he earns 4000 a month, not that he takes home 4000 a month.
  19. Only if there are 17.5 months a year in Perth
  20. I'm not in Scotland, obviously, but I have steered well clear of it since it came out too.
  21. If we had finished 2nd, it would be McCall for me. Adams, though, has had an amazing season and I wouldn't mind seeing him win.
  22. You are making my point for me now. As CEO. Goodwin was legally responsible for the corporate governance of his bank (which is one of the requirements when he signs off on the financial statements). So he held a a position equivalent to Boyle's. Nevin, while in an executive position, reported to Boyle which means that Boyle needed to provide appropriate corporate governance (including supervision of Nevin).
  23. The responsibility for the administration debacle, like any other company, starts and stops at the top. Boyle hired Nevin, and Boyle should have been diligent with his oversight. Thankfully, he learned from his mistakes, but JB was the man at fault.
  24. It is meaningless. That is what I was pointing out. The past results - even last weeks, don't matter. It's like the NFL. The Giants sucked for large parts of the regular season, but put together 4 good games in the play-offs at the end to win the Superbowl. 4 points will likely do it for us - last week is meaningless now. They had it when they lost to Aberdeen. We didn't have it and still beat Aberdeen. It's still meaningless. Points are everything at this stage of the season, not momentum. It's still in our hands - you can't ask for better than that and I'd swap our current state for Utd's any day of the week.
