I disagree with that too. I don't think we ran out of legs, I think McCall convinced his players to keep something in reserve for the Cup Final so we coasted after the split. I didn't agree with that approach then and still feel it backfired, but it did seem like a conscious choice from the Manager.
St. Johnstone and Dundee Utd. have been on our trail for weeks. The gap fluctuates depending on our respective schedules, but when we have needed results (like beating Dunfermline, Hearts & Hibs) the guys have done the business. Of course things are likely to get nervy, but the trailing teams haven't suddenly turned into world beaters just because lost to Kilmarnock.
I'd much rather be in our position than theirs, and I'm sure if they do get closer they will start feeling the pressure too.
