And if Bolton (or any other EPL club) is relegated they are guaranteed 48 million in parachute payments over the subsequent 4 years.
That's right. 48 million for being crap. If we had that level of guaranteed income we could be giving away season tickets.
You're right - we don't need safe standing. All we need is some proper terracing for a few thousand fans. If we can't use it during the odd UEFA sanctioned game, then fair enough. We'll just need to use the remainder of the ground for that. I'm sure we can squeeze the regular 4-5000 in.
No, you just said that "anyone who wasn't willing to stand should have been in the family section". So you graciously would permit people to sit down in the sections you designate otherwise they would have to be willing to stand.
Grand idea. Let's give the stewards cattle prods and if any paying customer is selfish enough to sit on the seat for which they purchased a ticket, then 20,000 volts will set them straight.
What he needs to do is be a wee bit more consistent and, in games like the Killie game, be the man that takes the game by the scruff of the neck and makes things happen.
I wouldn't mind seeing Jeffers back. Like you say, his off-the-ball movement was excellent and opened up the play for Murph and Sutton. No doubt, he is weighing up his options elsewhere (that can almost certainly pay more than we can offer).
I know what you mean (and agree with most of it), but having watched the highlights a few times I still think Randolph had Foran's post strike covered.
I do think we have the right balance of grit and finesse to come back from a deficit, but hopefully we won't be tested like that too often.
Us and every other middling SPL team. Except, of course, when struggling teams come to Fir Park and we beat them. Those days are immediately erased from memory to keep the myth alive.
A myth that only exists in the selective memories of Motherwell fans.
Particularly in this case - Hearts are a good team with players that are quite used to all the backroom shenanigans. If they beat us, it would hardly be ripping up the form book.
Most of that thread seems to be people saying how needs better service and punting long balls all day to him is no use because that's not his style.
Only a few real criticisms, but the majority of posters seem happy enough to give him some time.
Aye, if McCaoist does go, I can't see Whyte taking a risk with another, relatively untested, gaffer. Much more likely to go for an established name to keep the fans (and shareholders) happy.
