  1. Remember that time they couldn't even afford to pay their players' wages? Remember that time they couldn't afford to pay their players' bonuses? Remember that other time they couldn't afford to play their players' wages? etc.

Agree the law needs to be changed as it doesn't differentiate between a 'professional foul' and an honest attempt at a tackle. The straight red, I thought, was supposed to punish the former, but the refs don't have any discretion when it comes to the latter.
  3. I heard they were having trouble mixing the exact shade of petrol blue dye required to match the silver epaulettes.
  4. Getting your predictions in early?
  5. I'm disappointed. After adding his name to my team sheet, I just double checked and someone has crossed it out.
  6. I'd be very surprised if any 'Well fan that wants a ticket is unable to get their hands on one.
  7. I'd like to see Tommy Sheridan at centre half, organizing his own defence.
  8. As a fellow member of that elite group, I may not make it over for the final, so I donate my ticket rights to your good self.
  9. Underside of the bar at that. Glad to see the back of those square goals.
  10. Very quick scan, but didn't see Ally Mauchlen on there. EDIT: No Soapy Souter or Keith McRae either.
  11. Regardless of whether Celtic need to win or not, I'd be surprised to see McCall field a team any stronger (and possibly weaker) than the one he played against Hearts prior to our semi-final.
  12. They don't have ownership, but it's disingenuous at best to pretend that they don't have a strong association with them based on their politcal and religous leanings. I'm in the camp that finds them cringe worthy and pointless. I don't see the need to wave any national flags at a domestic competition (even the Saltires). However, I'm certainly not pro-censorship, so I wouldn't want to prevent anyone from displaying whatever they like.
  13. I liked the one line summary someone posted on the St. Johnstone forum yesterday: "Pros: we were all over them for the first 3 minutes"
  14. Not the best quality, but this one has been rock solid for me: http://www.dart1801.blogspot.com/
  15. http://www.dart1801.blogspot.com/ is looking good for me this morning.
  16. 7:45am kick-off, so big mug of coffee for me and something stronger mid-morning if we win.
  17. Read an article about McRae on TimesOnline. It was a "Whatever Happened To....?" write up on a Man City Cup squad. It pretty much said the same thing (except for the 'weird' part). Apparently he lost touch with City after he moved on and is "believed to be living somewhere in the US" but nobody has any real idea of his whereabouts.
  18. Ally Maxwell is over here coaching the SC Del Sol Soccer Club youth team apparently.

If one of them is from that famous letter writer, Jim Gannon, I reckon it doesn't count.
  20. I'm sure all the ex-pats will be online too, so if there are any problems with internet streams, just keep an eye on the threads and there will be plenty of suggestions on which ones are working best.
  21. As bad as that might be, imagine losing to Aberdeen in the final
  22. Do they not teach journalists how to fact check any more? It used to be a required part of the job. A quick call to each of the teams would have confirmed the actual figures.
  23. First we make the final. Then we think about coming over No idea if I would be able to make it this time around. Was lucky enough to be at the '91 final and unlucky enough to be at the CIS final so while I'd obviously love to be at Hampden again this season, I would be okay with watching on the internet. The CIS final was the worst for many reasons. I had booked a week's holiday off work to come back for the game. A few days beforehand, my boss asked me if I could travel to Hong Kong for a month to work on a project there. I told him that unfortunately I had vacation and couldn't reschedule due to 'family commitments'. The boss said that if I postponed my time off, not only would I get my trip to Hong Kong, but he would pay for me to fly business class on my rescheduled trip. 10 minutes after kickoff I was in mode (BTW - just remembered that it was our most recent signing that opened the scoring that day)
  24. No Setanta over here. When Sky and ESPN picked up the pieces from their liquidation, the Setanta channel became Fox Soccer Plus. @texanwellfan - if you make sure you select your correct timezone from the dropdown menu, you'll see the correct time for the broadcast in you area,
