wish it was. I work from home and its an 18 hour day.. every day.

  3. Which, of course, is the biggest argument against 10-team SPL. More teams scared of relegation = more survivialist football.
  4. Often by me First of all, our most recently successful teams have been full of skill players. Of course you need one or two ball winners, but there seems to be an attitude in Scottish football that fit and hard is more important than being able to pass a ball or beat a man. More importantly for me, I know we aren't likely to win the league in my lifetime. So watching the games is with a view to being entertained. If I had to watch a style of play like St. Mirren or the current Accies team every week, I would give up. When I want to see players running hard and knocking lumps out of each other I switch on the rugby.
  5. Aye, Thistle were our bogey team for quite a while. It also wasn't too long ago that we were pretty much responsible for keeping a poor Dundee side in the SPL through the number of points we gave them.
  6. And not to forget Joe Wark.
  7. I agree with that. For a core of 3500 - 4000 or so, 800 is a pretty decent return.

Wigan would be struggling to make top 6 in the SPL, even if they kept their current budget. Reduce it to SPL levels and McCarthy would have been as well sticking with Accies.
  9. Out of that 3500, how many aren't aware of the survey? How many think it is a waste of time (based on previous experience)? The last UK election had a 65.1% turnout. 23% for a footy questionnaire isn't too shabby.
  10. At least in my lifetime, Celtic have tended to play more of a passing game, which has suited our style. Rangers have been more a of a power based team (i.e. bunch of bruisers) which we always find more difficult to cope with.
  11. "Rollercoaster" annoys me, but not as much as "Punching above our weight".

  14. You can guarantee he'll be predicting another loss.
  15. There has been some guff posted about McCall recently, but that beats them all. Where was this self-motivation from the players when Rangers took 6 off us? That was McCall's fault, if the serial haters on here are to be believed. McCall had exactly the right response after the St. Mirren game - came out and told everyone how crap they were and how that wasn't acceptable. Now he has taken a bare bones squad, put together a decent tactical plan with the available players and could be pulling of a result a team that has been really firing on all cylinders the past few weeks. Only Motherwell fans could see the negative in that.
  16. I thought MJC's dream job was in the dugout at Ibrox.
  17. Looks like the original was edited after the fact. It definitely alleged something along the lines that MFC received a grant - none, or little, of which was passed on to the ladies team.
  18. About the same chance of those individuals being able to spell their real names.

To quote (I think) Brian Clough on John Roberston - "His speed is deceptive. He's slower than he looks".
  20. Cue the "Why didn't we sign him on a 3 year deal?" thread.
  21. That's a bit unfair. You forgot to include

  23. Exactly. A wee bit of perspective is required, methinks.
