That's a good point. When does 'Flows contract expire? He'll need to get cracking on the Motherwell TV effort otherwise I can see some talented internet whizz kid being given a chance.
Or, maybe he just made that comment without any specific players in mind just to keep everybody on their toes and stop complacency creeping after the club just picked up 2 awards.
For what it's worth, as of Friday the bookies favourites for the Brighton job were:
Gus Poyet 9/2
Steve Cotterill 7/1
Teddy Sheringham 10/1
John Gregory 12/1
Peter Taylor 12/1
Gareth Southgate 13/1
Iain Dowie 13/1
Alan Curbishley 14/1
Tony Adams 20/1
Gannon didn't even rate a mention.
Pretty much in line with his earlier comments about short term plans, long terms plans, needing a few fresh faces etc.
His track record for bringing in new players has been excellent, so no worries there. I'm more concerned about which loanees he manages to keep.
We didn't have this social media malarky when I was a lad. Only email, news groups, mailing lists, IRC, bulletin boards and web sites
Is there going to much difference between the Facebook content and the 'fishul site?
Aye, that's a shame. When I lived in Hamilton, I always enjoyed the Accies game. A whole load of us ('Well & Accies fans) would walk down to Douglas Park and stand together on the terraces. Made it even more important to win.
I seem to remember the travelling support going a bit mental when Paul Mills scored the last gasp winner at East End Park.
Not nearly as important as some of the other goals mentioned here, but it felt like it at the time.
After the Accies game we will have played everybody the league once. Even if all the results go against us, the lowest position we can be is 5th. That's not a bad showing while we are still very much in the early stages of rebuilding.
I know in recent games Coke has come in for some criticism due to his comparitive lack of form. Then I read this on the 'fishul site and was suitably impressed:
I don't recall any posters coming up with this reason for the problems Giles was having
It just goes to show that fans (and I include myself here) are often pretty clueless about the game at this level of detail. Of course we can see when something goes wrong, but I doubt many of us spotted the attempted Milan formation - far less contemplated the finer points of the 'construction phase'.
Separate alarm clocks are one of the keys to a happy relationship. They don't teach you things like that at school.
At least you caught a decent amount of the game.
