He must be a pretty good radio presenter based on the reaction he gets on here. If was poor, nobody would bother talking about what he says.

Nah, he has suffered a small dip in form since the old board, but if he concentrates for a full thread he has proved himself a pretty useful poster.

    Offside Goal

That is a terrible analogy. It's more like, say, a striker sclaffing a shot every 15 or 20 attempts.
  4. Cause: We spent more money than we had. Solution: Now we spend less money than we have. Simples.
  5. That's also my concern about Brown which is why, although happy to see him here to the end of the season, I still need convincing he is the man to develop a squad for the future. Of course, I'll be delighted if he proves me wrong.
  6. Different soil, different weather, different starting point (St. Mirren started from scratch). EDIT: Mind you, not driving a tractor over it might have made a wee bit of difference.
  7. It was all wrong, but for some reason is still one of my favourite kits.
  8. Because he definitely lacks the turning ability of a lizard in a sandpit* *Copyright SteveDiggle
  9. It's not negativity, it's the unfortunate reality of the situation. The guys that run football clubs are usually pretty successful businessmen. If there was a sustainable way to reduce prices, they would likely have worked it out by now.

You make name for yourself by being successful. The underlying team philosophy is irrelevant.

I thought it was the other way around i.e. he had problems with the senior players because his philosophy has always been to play the youngsters ahead of them.
  12. Almost. They used to say that, apart from Hampden, Fir Park had the best playing surface. Unfortunately, both have deteriorated over the years.
  13. I swear when I started reading that sentence I thought it would end "... that his wig was undetectable".
  14. That's what I really meant in my post too. I just didn't want to sound like MJC.
  15. A boring 0-0 would be a good result, but I have the feeling that our good run might come to an end on Wednesday. Walter Smith has got that team churning out results week in, week out, regardless of how well they are playing. It will be interesting to see how Broon lines up the team, though.
  16. That must be one of my most hated footballing cliches: "He turned like a lizard in a sandpit".
  17. I never vote on these things seeing as I don't get to the games, but Hammell's effort right at the death looked like it saved us 2 points. I can see how some would claim it was a penalty, but it looked like a top drawer bit of defending to me. Almost worthy of the MoM for that alone.
  18. If you were paying 10 quid, though, you wouldn't be able to watch the same quality as we couldn't afford the current standard of players on show.
  19. These guys manage to produce a decent quality, and they don't even wear boots
  20. So what is your solution (apart from trotting out the old "you don't have a valid opinion because you don't go to every home game" line)?
  21. The guys that fixed over the summer said it might suffer a bit this winter. Given that Motherwell has had one of the worst winters in recent years, what do you (or any of the other horticultural experts that post on here) suggest be done to address the issue?
  22. Because there is a section for pish, and it isn't "Club Chat". And if you get upset by people saying it, then don't read it.
  23. Would be nice if we used the correct spelling of his name in the Topic title
  24. Overuse of ellipses is another one.
  25. Like shooting fish in a barrel.
