  1. Home to Accies would by my choice.
  2. They'll have more to spend when McArthur goes later today
  3. They'll need to offer more than they did for Murphy.
  4. It doesn't have to be financial, and it doesn't even have to mean the guy isn't regarded as a good player. He might just not fit in with the system that JG likes to play. All speculation of course.
  5. Aye but that's football manager speak. "Highly unlikely" means "We are talking to at least 3 other players".

    Yesterdays Chants

Why do you need to be fainthearted to think there was some reputational damage done to the club? Are you not jumping on the bandwagon by saying 'the references to child abuse were not excusable'? Or is your dissent somehow more independent and brave?
  7. When JG came on board, Boyle said he was giving him a budget for Bosmans and small transfer fees. So I presume that this falls under "small".

If a journo says they heard it, how do you prove otherwise?

First paper I read this morning. Seems to be some interest there. You can call it double standards all you like, but the media loves bad publicity for clubs like ours - deserved or not.
  10. They'll be selling their ground and sharing with Utd. across the street (allegedly).

    Yesterdays Chants

"You're just a fat Tony Mowbray" - shows a wee bit of thought and quite funny. "You're a paedo" - sounds like a bunch of wee laddies that have just learned a new 'bad' word. Pretty juvenile and likely only funny on your 12th pint. The fact that it was obviously going to make all the papers today makes it even more pointless. Now we have another label for the lazy journos to attach to our club.

    Man Utd

I don't even think it will be their reserves though. It was promoted as the best reserve squad available on international weekend. Which didn't exactly inspire me, I have to say.
  13. The same way as the racist chants were overlooked? Despite being the work of a handful of fans, that was reported at length in the radio and the press.
  14. As opposed to a real hatred of people because they used to be at Fir Park? The bottom line is, it doesn't matter if you find it funny, outrageous or just juvenile, if you can't see the damage it does to the reputation of the club that we support, then you are truly clueless.
  15. No, but if you made the same accusation on this board, it would be an offence.
  16. Won all our home games and drawn our away games. That's not a bad start for a new manager and a team with so many changes. If you want to see the worst that can happen when you bring in so many new faces, just look at Accies.
  17. Aye, the hype was just that - hype. No idea why some were thinking we'd cruise to a comfortable victory at Pittodrie. I don't care who the boss is, it's never an easy game there,
  18. You're better spending a few minutes downloading sopcast, TVU or TVAnts etc. and trying somewhere like myp2p.eu for decent streams. Iraqgoals and atdhe.net use mediaplayer which can be pretty poor.
  19. Have a shufti at iraqgoals.net, it seems to be working. You're not missing much though.
  20. On the radio they said "a few hundred".
  21. Accies game is here amongst other places.
  22. Where was the Hutchison injury reported? The Beeb only has: "Motherwell will make a late decision on the fitness of winger Paul Slane and Chris Humphrey may also miss the match. Steven Hammell should overcome a muscle injury while on-loan Everton striker Lukas Jutkiewicz could make a debut. " Not that I take the Beeb to be definitive.
  23. I think it's a bit of revisionism to say that a manager who took us to 3rd and 7th is completely clueless. Yes, he made various tactical mistakes along the way, and off the field, some of his words and actions smacked of ego-driven stupidity. However, he didn't suddenly lose all of his mental faculties the day he walked out the door at Fir Park. We have a new manager who likes to play the youngsters, but there are plenty of well-respected bosses who prefer to wait a year or two before they introduce kids into the team. McGhee isn't an idiot (on the field) and you can guarantee he will be looking to take advantage of our defensive uncertainties tomorrow. We will need a good performance to take all the points.
  24. That actually may be true. We did get a bit more cash in thanks to the sale of Ports etc. What is amusing, though, is that he obviously thought he was moving to a bigger club with more to spend.
