  1. I think you have to give Smith some credit. He's a decent tactician too and made some adjustments in the second half that stifled us a bit. Gannon mentioned that is his post match interview too where he felt they both cancelled each other out a bit in the second half.
  2. Maybe he's looking for a job.

    Penalty

    Should have tried this approach.
  4. It's never a bad thing to have players who want to take a pen at such a key moment in a game. I'm still not convinced it was a great effort, but these things happen. I'm happy to see O'Brien have the confidence and take responsibility like that.
  5. What was the 'next to no reason' for being turfed out?

    Penalty

It wasn't awful, but at that height and speed, if the keeper guesses right he will save it almost every time. Forbes pen was much better. Keeper guessed right, but still couldn't reach it.
  7. I'm sure it's not the only reason, but I imagine a significant number of supporters have commitments on a Saturday morning that make it difficult/impossible to be there for 12:15pm. Whether its having to work Saturday morning, a regular Saturday morning football/rugby/golf game (or kids with a regular Saturday morning activity) etc. - getting home and back out before noon won't be easy.
  8. Stick a game on live telly, move the kick-off to 12:15pm, increase ticket prices. You don't need be a member of the SFA Think Tank to see how that is a sure-fire recipe for lower attendance.
  9. Coke was excellent today. I see Billy Dodds on the BBC Text commentary said McGregor's save was "world class"
  10. Still unbeaten and some nice fitba' played. I'll take that. Oh, and well done to JG again for getting his tactics right.
  11. Aye, no idea how he got the job there.
  12. Not as easy as I thought when I saw the replay. Great move, though.
  13. He always scores against us. Even when he was at Dundee. We'll just need to score first.
  14. Neil McCann, I think they said. (You must have been up even earlier than me, Haggis).

    £10 And £5

They'd solve the problem of occasionally disgruntled supporters if the season ticket reverted back to covering all home games. When I first bought mine it was good for League, League Cup, Scottish Cup (and reserve games ). Sometimes you got extra value for money with the home cup ties, sometimes you didn't. I don't now the average number of home cup ties in the past 10 years, but if you stuck, say, 25 quid onto the price of a season ticket and said it included all the cup games again, then it could work out as a decent proposition for fans and the club. They could still sell the "First home tie" version too. Having said all that, I'm all for cutting ticket prices for these types of games, and wouldn't be complaining at these prices if I still had a season ticket.
  16. Read this comment on a story in The Scotsman this morning.
  17. It the past few season it feels like even if we are on form, Rangers could field their U-15s and would still get a result. Half of me hopes that our luck must change soon and the other half is resigned to 3 points lost. Maybe JG will have spotted something we can exploit with a tactical change this time around.
  18. I'd be in favour of that. The only stumbling block might be that Leighton might not take a new job until he has taken Aberdeen to court over his last contract.
  19. A pretty safe bet there I would think.

    Man Utd

Ah, my mistake. I thought we were playing it like the Champions League with lots of meaningless games in between the deciders.

Would that not make Rhyl the British Champs then?
