  1. Flamurtari, Llanelli Tony, Faraway Saint. There seems to be one at every club.
  2. I couldn't care less what Sun readers think about anything, and if this story means a few less people buy that rag in the future, then well done to Scott for writing the story.
  3. You are confusing us with Airdrie Utd. We have made a profit every year for the last few years. Nice wee dig though - I still think you are based closer to Motherwell than Albania; but I'm just a cynic.
  4. I thought Flamurtari was just Llanelli_Tony posting under a new user name
  5. Brian McLair was an unknown Aston Villa player when we picked him up (although Villa were a top team at the time).
  6. Aye, because every decent player in the world starts their career at Man U or Chelsea. It's impossible to pick up a good player anywhere else.

    Dazzler

Maybe we should just let the boss decide if he is worth a place in the new formation/style he wants to play.
  8. It really depends if a local Albanian station is covering it. If they do, then there will no doubt be a way to access a stream of some sort. Otherwise, we are out of luck, because there is no way a UK broadcaster will sending any cameras to the game.
  9. I thought it was the Setanta deal that the OF didn't want as they believed (correctly as it turned out ) that the deal was a bit sketchy. I think it was the OF and Aberdeen that voted for the SPL TV.
  10. I'm sure that will depend on now far we get in the Europa.
  11. They always make the combination something difficult to remember - like the date of your wedding aniiversary.
  12. I think his agent telling Hearts "Stephen wants to play for you" was probably a bigger hint.
  13. Aye. For all we know this Albanian team could be better than Roma, so let's just go with the old "one game at a time" approach and see where it takes us.
  14. Competitively, probably. We did play a very decent Liverpool and a very decent Ajax side in friendlies. Of course Borussia Dortmund were a pretty good team too.
  15. JB said Gannon has money to spend on Bosmans or small transfer fees - however he sees fit. Remember, though, a 'free' transfer isn't free. While no transfer fee is involved, a signing-on fee is often required.
  16. Cheers. I couldn't get my proxies to let me access the s4c replay, so I'm downloading now. Much appreciated.
  17. Or maybe he has a a new guy lined up who he feels can take over.
  18. Maybe, but before Coach got the captaincy, Crags said that he didn't want it as he felt it had an adverse effect on his game. I'd rather he played his best, than worry about him being captain. He can still guide the youngsters without an armband.
  19. To be fair, Crags has said in the past that he doesn't like being captain. I don't know if we'll have 5 players by Monday, but Gannon seemed pretty confident in his post-match interview that he'd manage to bring in a few new faces quite quickly.
  20. Aye, me too, of course I just think we need to be careful as supporters as it's easy to dismiss an incident like this as being caused by outsiders. What is positive is the general condemnation from the other fans.

    Albania

Well there are definitely parts of Miami, Tampa and Jacksonville I would advise people to steer clear of. And any place where Paul Quinn is staying.
  22. Again, you are just guessing. If you are claiming that over the years there haven't been diehard fans who got drunk and into a punch-up, then you have been turning a blind eye. It happens at every club. There is no need to try and make excuses that they aren't 'real' fans. Clubs do have real fans that also cause trouble, and that's the major reason booze was banned from the grounds. So let's not get bogged down in semantics. It was Motherwell fans who caused the problem, now it's up to the rest of us (and the club) to make sure they are dealt with. By the sound of it, that's exactly what is happening.

    Albania

I don't think it's ignorance on anyone's part. It's just common sense so that when some fans are robbed or locked up by the local polis for being drunk or whatever, they can't complain that they weren't warned. I know things in Albania have changed in recent years, but there is no guarantee their local plod will have as light a touch as the Lllanelli boys.

    Sutton

The Herald was reporting a prior groin injury that almost made him miss the game.
  25. Let's not pretend that we don't have idiots in our core support - forget the "Rangers in Manchester" syndrome. Thankfully, it's only a few and something that the club should be able to deal with.
