  1. Last time I saw them, Andy Walker scored a nice wee goal for us.

    Chris Porter

It was nothing to do with McCormack leaving for free, but I wouldn't expect you to know that. It was due to the fact that he spent a few months touting himself around first with a resultant dip in his form. McDonald going to Celtic was a similar complaint. Not that he left, but that he was touting himself around for months before he did. And you think we care about Dean Lardass not signing for Rangers? I'm sure a fat old man will fit in very nicely in your setup You must be frustrated today, what with your big game against Hartlepool postponed yesterday.

    Chris Porter

Well he must have learned his lesson because he hasn't gone through that routine with us. When he signed, he was quite up front about looking to progress his career and move on. He has been nothing but professional since the day he joined. I'm guessing you have never changed jobs in your life, because that would be a wee bit mercenary too, no?

    Sutton

Apart from the last couple of games, that accusation could be made about any of our players.

    Sutton

Without his goals at the start of the season we'd be 8 points worse off.
  6. There are other teams in the vicinity he could play for without moving house. But good to hear, nonetheless.

    Sutton

I think Sutton was brought in as a direct replacement for Porter. As other have said, the two don't play so well together. If Porter does leave, then Clarky and Sutton should make a decent pairing.
  8. Remember what happened the last time we started getting ahead of ourselves in a cup draw
  9. 6ft (1.83m), according to the website I looked at.
  10. McGhee obviously has an overall plan for the way he wants us to play. So even if he brings in a player with potential, there is still a lot of work required to fit him into the system. He made that clear in is radio interview again last night where he mentioned that he told Jim "if the guy that coached you when your were 9 years old saw you today, he'd see exactly the same player" (or words to that effect). It seems, however, that he is now taking on board what is required to play in the MM system, and it's starting to pay off.
  11. We stuck Foran in a midfield(ish) type role for a while.
  12. If it's anything like the pre-contract he 'signed' with Forest it is media speculation, and nothing more.
  13. If he did go to Hearts, the money would have to be in the bank (and cleared) before we let him go. No idea why he would go there when he can find a better deal down south, mind you.
  14. It doesn't matter who is to blame. Hearts agreed to pay Arbroath on Aug 1 last year. They still haven't payed. They have also deferred payment on players win bonuses. Why would they need to do that?
  15. If that was true, then you wouldn't have agreed to pay Arbroath anything; and yet you are paying them on Jan 9th (allegedly). Why would you do that?
  16. Even if a transfer fee was involved, we wouldn't see any money from Vlad.
  17. Don't ask me, ask the players that are still waiting on their win bonuses from last year. Or have a word with Arbroath. When you are stiffing a wee team out of 14 grand, you know are in financial trouble.
  18. Except he has this irrational need to be paid.
  19. Keeping Boab quite will be easy, as he'll be on the bench... I fancy a 2-1 win for with a deflected shot from Clarky in the last 5 mins winning the game - just after Hearts have a stonewall penalty claim denied
  20. I can't imagine any player who likes receiving wages every month would go anywhere near the Jambos. I'm sure Porter will move on, but to a Championship or lower EPL club.
  21. It's nothing to do with the club. The agents go running to the papers with half-baked stories to try and start a bidding war. The higher the price, the more the agents get in their 15% cut.
  22. It's obvious I'm no Malcolm fan, and I'd be happy to see him move on during the window. From McGhee's past comments, he obviously wanted him to play in the midfield and has been disappointed in the lack of fitness which has prevented from playing that role more often. I'd be much happier keeping Reynolds for that role and freeing up Fat Boab's salary for other options.
  23. According to football-lineups.com, Engedal is 1.83m i.e. almost exactly 6ft.
  24. For all LDCs efforts, the football club is in major financial trouble. They could be out of business very soon. No wages for players (again)
  25. They allegedly have both undersoil and a cover system.
