  1. Miller's goalscoring record for Scotland is pretty dire. Without checking the stats, I believe its something like 3 goals in the last 3 years. He might run around, but that doesn't win games. If management wants to presist with him, he at least needs a striking partner.
  2. We have more of a chance qualifying through league position than Fair Play. So let's just keep him in the team and finish 4th.
  3. While I agree with their points (and I will sign the petition) what will the impact be on crowds in European competiton? UEFA insists on all-seated stadia, so do we need to persuade them too?
  4. Are you claiming you and I are acquainted?
  5. I remember that game well. I think you are giving him too much credit, though. I swear he had hit the ground before he managed to get his header in.
  6. That was my first thought too. I suppose he is more likely to take a job like Aberdeen thanks to his prior history. However, I think a job like Birmingham City (when Eck gets the bullet at the end of the season) is what he will be looking for.
  7. When football was played at the same day/time every week it was much easier to plan to attend and, for many, get decent value from a season ticket. These days, if you buy a season ticket, you have to know you can attend games that kick off on Mon/Wed/Thu/Sat lunchtime/Sundays. Lots of people have commitments during the wee that restrict that sort of flexibility.
  8. One of the simplest ways to get fans back is to revert to having all games kick off at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon (Or, at a push, 7:45pm on a Wednesday evening).

It's not doing a very good job then. There were a lot less handling errors before we switched suppliers
  10. I say, as an ex-full back, that it's much easier to defend a ball that is swinging towards you than away from you. Of course, if you are a Motherwell defender, it's a moot point. Any ball into the box is impossible to defend
  11. Only if you're not hitting the by-line and whipping them across (which is far more dangerous).

Another game with a big build up where we get onto the pitch and underperform. Whatever the preparations are for these types of matches, they seem to result in a sub-par display.

Should at least have hit the target.

You know what I mean though. They have beaten us twice this season because there is something in the way they play that seems to make us want to hoof the ball around. Whereas, when we play a team like Dundee Utd. we have no problem knocking it along the deck. There's no logic to it.

It's thriving over here. Sells more coffee every day than any other US retailer. Is it just me, or is the ball taking high bounces on this pitch?

I see on the official site how important Mcghee believes this game is. When's he said this in the past it's often a cue to play some bizarre formation Hopefully we'll just go 4-4-2 tomorrow and blow them away in the first half hour.

It's not a positive though, is it? It's saying the results we have achieved are better than we should expect from the talent we possess. The exact opposite of what McGhee is saying when he tells the press our first team is the best outside the OF. I understand that the Board wants to keep expectations realistic, but why not just say something like "We are enjoying a successful spell at the club and will continue to work within our means in an effort to maintain it".

This is from memory (which may well have failed me), but I thought when Tam Cowan was interviewing Crags the other week, he said that the club didn't operate a flat wage structure now and that some players did earn more than others. I could be wrong. I usually am.
  24. If the word from the AGM was that the balloon was over-drying the pitch, should we not be watering and rolling it instead of sanding it?
  25. Runners up in the Cup was fine when there was Cup-Winners Euro competition they could enter. However, consistency over the season should be rewarded with the UEFA places.
