  1. They were supposed to be playing for their lives against Killie (at home) and folded like a cheap suit. No doubt they will have a go, but given their defensive record in recent times, that is likely to leave them wide open.
  2. And our white change kit which, apparently, we had to borrow from Utd.
  3. One of my favourites was the John McKeever game in the first leg of the League Cup. Second leg, not so much.
  4. Just fact checked myself. In the 73/74 season we beat them 4 - 0 (League Cup) , 3 - 0, 4 - 0 and 1 - 0, which probably the season I'm remembering. The season after we were promoted back into the SPL, they beat us 4 - 0, 5 - 0, 2 - 0 and 4 - 1, which is a season I've never managed to forget.
  5. When I first started watching us the 70s, the overall balance of results seemed pretty equal, but when we beat them we often put 3 or 4 past them. (I have a vague memory we beat them 4 - 0 on one of the first Sunday games we ever played). When they hit their peak in the early 80s they used to hammer us (and a lot of top European teams) on a regular basis. They had a counterattacking style that was unusual in Scottish football at the time and most opponents struggled to cope with it. I'm not a Goodwin fan, but I don't hate Utd and wouldn't have been bothered if they stayed up. In fact, at this point, any team with grass is OK with me. (not the OF, obviously, but I doubt I'll see them relegated in the near future).
  6. KVV scores first. Utd and Ross County's results conspire to give Utd the 8 goal swing they need for a miraculous escape. KVV hits number 30 with the last kick of the ball sending Utd down. Livi lose to keep us in 7th.
  7. Robert Downey Jr's let himself go.
  8. I'm glad we still have KVV's tally and 7th place to play for to keep us motivated. Utd's defence has been woeful, so we should be looking to take full advantage of that.
  9. Keepin' the dream of 7th alive (and technically we will still get to relegate Utd at the weekend) Make your choice...
  10. Confirmed I know less than zero about the game.
  11. Don't want them getting injured on that aberration of a surface. Let them play on grass at the weekend.
  12. On recent form, I think Utd and County are only capable of scoring against each other.
  13. I think the VAR officials must get paid by the hour.
  14. Given that they only have 4 players under contract for next season, they'll certainly be needing lots of cash.
  15. He could team up with Lee Erwin in Lebanon.
  16. Does it not include his performances at Cove too? I think the SWFA award covers all divisions in the SPFL.
  17. By the time Utd are relegated Watt will have signed a new contract elsewhere.
  18. Icing on the cake would be Ayr Utd replacing Killie and their plastic pitch. I'd say that's looking unlikely now, but the Championship has been coming up with some pretty crazy results in recent games.
  19. There was a VAR angle that showed Butcher won the ball cleanly.
  20. Quite an achievement and well deserved. Would be great to see KVV make it a double.
  21. Would love to keep the win streak going and secure 7th spot in this game. Our away record since SK took over has been excellent. Plus, in each of the last 3 games we've restricted our opponents to 1 shot on target. Do that again on Wednesday and we have a great chance of winning. The only guarantee, of course, is there will be almost zero entertainment value. 2 - 0 to the good guys. As an aside, does anyone know the highest number of points we've picked up in post-split matches? Feels like the 9pts we have earned so far must be getting us close to our best ever.
