  1. That's one good way to avoid watching Ranger's first 2 goals.
  2. Not too shabby. Also famous for being the last time Billy Davis cracked a smile.
  3. Andrew Driver and later, I think, Islam Feruz when they thought he'd be the next big thing.
  4. That's the one that annoys me most too. A simple "born in the country or one parent born in the country" should be the limit.
  5. That's the one. Glad I'm not going completely senile. I still remember the move and the header from my vantage point in the terracing, but didn't remember if The Rile crossed it or scored it.
  6. I don't think Kettlewell is married to 3-5-2, but I suspect it will be his favoured formation for a few games while it's picking up points for us on the road to guaranteed safety. Efford, McKinstry, Danzaki etc. will be some of the "layers" he talks about adding.
  7. His hands must have been too cold from the Falkirk weather to feel the OF balls from the freezer.
  8. I won't argue with that. I do still have a memory of Reilly doing something unusually good, so he may have hit the cross that Walker scored from.
  9. It was definitely at Fir Park and looking at the usual sites, seems like it was the game on 8th Feb 1986 where we won 1 - 0. But none of the sites list our scorer. Or I could just be a rambling old man. I definitely wouldn't rule that out.
  10. I've seen us beat Rangers when John Reilly was in the team. I might be misremembering, but I think he scored the only goal of the game. (If he didn't score it then it was his assist).
  11. Not sure it was bad advice as much as he really wanted to play for them. I thought the originally touted move to Norwich would have been much better for him, especially as they were in the EPL at the time and had a manager that would likely have played him in the first team. He still has time on his side, but he needs to find a team where he is a regular starter.
  12. Polworth too - although he was hooked for the second half.
  13. He stood on the touchline and dugout so often I assumed he was an unplayed sub.
  14. I don't know why it made me laugh hearing that Chris Wilder took over at Watford exactly 17 minutes after they sacked Bilic, but I found it funny after reading all the media stuff about making his pitch to Burrows for the Aberdeen job.
  15. I suppose, technically, the VAR official didn't say it was red card - he only suggested the ref take another look. The implication, of course, is that he did think it should be a red. I suppose if a team has additional video footage not used by VAR then an appeal might make sense, but I agree that it's highly unlikely any panel is going to overturn a decision made by 2 officials.
  16. It's going to happen. I'm not convinced, however, it's going to happen in this one. I'm expecting a narrow defeat, would be delighted with a draw.
  17. Fair enough. I have lost track of our structure since the Project Brave overhaul.
  18. Kettlewell, Hammell and Kerr were all working with the academy. I thought Frail only has first team duties, basically taking over Chris Lucketti's old job.
  19. Big Kev always looks scunnered. It's how he rolls.
  20. I heard him on Sportsound arguing with another 'Well employee (Leanne Crichton) about whether McGregor got away with a penalty, so definitely media duties.
  21. Good to hear - I thought he might be being squeezed out after transfer talk in the January window.
  22. By my calculations we're still two short in our coaching staff. We lost Hammell and Kerr and promoted Kettlewell. So far Clarkson was promoted internally and Foster was brought in. That still leaves us with two posts to fill.
  23. Wee Al hasn't been getting a game recently either.
  24. I've heard a couple of interviews with Kettlewell where has said exactly that. His two favourite terms are "strip it down to basics" and "add some layers later" What he's doing now is exactly what was needed in our position and, for whatever reason, Hammell couldn't or wouldn't do.
  25. Somebody needs to tell that to Celtic.
