Totally agree, I'm not actually blaming the ref for the defeat as we were poor, what I do blame him for is for taking no action when he had the ability and opportunity to influence the game and help prevent it from degenerating into a total shambles and non event especialy in the second half.

Totally disagree. Playing Forbes aside what tactics or what available player that we had on the bench would have made any difference at all to the game? The ref ruined the game by his inept performance and by not clamping down early on. The second half was a total non event as he allowed Accies to kill the game by time wasting, diving and persistent fouling. Non much CB could have done to counteract such a poor display by the ref. We didn't play well but the ref must shoulder most of the blame in my book for it being such a poor game. People are paying a lot of money to go and watch games and ref has a major responsibilty in making sure that the game is allowed to flow and is worth watching.

Can't really have a major pop at the players as we are still 3rd after all. BUT!!! totally devoid of ideas when our usual game doesn't work. We were outmuscled the whole game and to keep playing high balls up to that defense when we couldn't win a header all day was fuckin torture. Sick of watching Motherwell teams getting bossed around the park no plan B and not enough ability or strength to break down that type of teams. We've such a small squad any injury to any of our first team players totally fucks us up. Felt like there was only about 15 - 20 of actual football in the second half between time wasting and diving taking up the rest of the time. Ref totally ruined the game not clamping down on the time wasting and diving early on, how that wasn't a sending off fo the penalty I'll never know. A lot of bad performances but Hately better start pulling his socks up as he has been utter shite for weeks, couldn't even redeem himself by doing just one thing right and score the fuckin penalty. Oh and Ross Forbes, nothing personal but he is a total imposter as a football player, why any manager would give him the chance to play first team football I'll never know. Apart for a couple of excellent goals in Europe and at St J (a long long time ago) he has done sweet fuck all and we are a man down when he plays. I guess that he is meant to be in the team for his delivery - even that is fuckin shite so no real reason to have him on the pitch at all.

Worst possible draw IMO, would much rather had the sheep or Smelltic. Not beaten Rangers in a long time but we're due a win - in tae the bastards!!

Difficult one today, no one outstanding but went for Humphrey due to the impact that he provided at times, Craigen and Reynolds did the dirty work for most of the game very well keeping what attacking option that Utd had at bay and they do have some big boys. Special mention to Gow a bit off the pace but demonstrated, to me anyway, the ability and creativity that he has to offer. Once he gets up to speed he will be an excellent addition to the squad if we sign him that is.

Sorry - don't agree with any of the posters that say that it was a clear penalty, it was nothing of the sort. Nothing clear either about the refs positioning when the penalty was given either he was too far away from the action and should have erred on the site of caution by giving nothing. But wait a minute we were playing Celtic what am I saying. Celtic fans were their usual scummy selves, didn't expect anything else tbh not exactly a surprise was it. They will never ever change and fuck all will ever be done about it.

Like most people have said, awful game. no-one really deserve to win. Two poor teams we had a bit more of an excuse than them after our exertions on Thursday night and their squad size and quality but CB should have freshened things up a bit. IMO never a penalty, Saunders leaned on him a bit but didn't barge or foul him and Malony did what he does and will always do so well, we were all waiting for him to go down and down he went much to the referees delight, only going to get fouls if refs are taken in and give them though. Craigen was having a good pop at him in the first half diving at the corner of the box to win Celtic a free kick, fuckin embarrassed for the wee dick, good player but has to go down at every opportunity it was the only way that they were going to score - sore one to take. Was it a straight red, I thought that Saunders had been booked earlier for halfing Samaras? What really fucked us at the penalty was that we had just made a substitution and Craigen, Saunders etc. were still getting formation changes barked at them from AK they were so busy concentration on this that they fell asleep, Celtic took the ball quickly, Maloney split the defence as was bearing down on goal and the inevitable happened.
