  1. Usual script at Ibrox again, and getting a bit sick of it to be honest the only reason I go is there is that I meet some mates in the West End and walk over to the game, and have a foolish optimism that we are going to take something from there (one of these days). I'll be serioulsy thinking about not going in the future. We lose an early goal - what a surprise Bad decisions by the officials cost us dearly - bottling bastards, everyone of them They get a penalty that was never a penalty - diving greasy bastard and a shitebag referee. Crap treatment by the stewards and the Police - they just give themselves an easy day and police the minority and don't even look at the majority. You just feel like launching two foot kick in the head to the rat faced manky bastards that shout abuse at you the whole game, I'd love to meet one or two of them away from the game. Only good bit of the day what shouting some abuse at the Shemale blob that was ejected by the Police, they must get danger money for touching that.
  2. Got to agree, oops sorry, kiss your arse on that Andy_P McGee isn't perfect and has made mistakes, nobody said he was or hasn't but I'm enjoying watching the football much more than I have under most other managers that we have had over the year, and for that he and the players have my thanks.
  3. No your not going against the grain, just expressing an opinion, as I am. IMO McGee is an excellent manager both on and off the park, and one of the best I expect to see at Fir Park in a very long time. Not kissing his arse just an honest opinion. The facts that you refer to are just your opinion nothing more, nothing less.
  4. Good on ye McGee, another excellent article. IMO we'll really miss this type of articulate, intelligent manager when/if he goes. He does himself and the club proud in all public forums he is involved in. Someone needed to challenge and take issue with the bollocks that Peat comes out with at every opportunity. An absoulute cock of a man and should be out on his arse as soon as possible.
  5. 'Sounds like a good night, sorry I missed it' - happy now???
  6. Good on you McGee, I agree that the formation was a bit suss against St.Mirren but the rest of his comments were 100% correct. Bert - dry yer eyes, bad timing - absolute pish, you are yet another one of those can dish it out but can't take it. He is entitled to have as much as a pop at us as that we feel that we can have at him, whenever he likes not according to the timescales that you are happy with. At least he actually gives enough of a shit to want to come out and defend his players against this crap. We all think we know a hell of a lot about football - but the truth is we don't have a clue none of us have ever played or managed at a high enough level to speak with any level of authority or knowledge none of us know the inside story at Motherwell to know what is happening behind the scenes. Players getting booed when they are knocking their pan in on a shite surface, absolute murder to listen to and to read. Jay have you actually met McGee?? Is so justify calling him a c**t, I've met him as many times as that I have met you and out of the two of you I think that you sound like more of a c**t.
  7. Don't care who it is or where they come from, if they play in Claret & Amber and give their all they get my full support. Bet he plays great and Celtic stop him playing against them - wankers!!
  8. I remember the game you are on about now - A strange one indeed but who ever said that football fans make any sense at times. Still feel that it was down to frustration and not aimed at the players, but that is just my opinion.
  9. Don't remember that game to be honest, maybe because we were winning all the time the fans took it better, just show's you how fickle we can be Anyway! Here's a support that knows how to get behind its players.
  10. I've thought about the booing at the end of this particular game and I don't feel that it was in anyway aimed at the players, just total frustration that we didn't win a game that we totally controlled.
  11. Sorry but have to disagree. I don't think that we are any better or any worse than any other fans in Scotland and even the UK to be honest. I've been in lots of home stands all over the UK and fans by their nature have roughly the same quota fans who are either irrational or rational, unrealistic or realistic. They shout the same rubbish and abuse their own players as much, if not more, than we do. Doesn't make it ok but we need to get a bit of a perspective on this subject. I'm not a boo boy and dislike those that do feel that it is acceptable to abuse and not get behind their team during games. But get real we are by no means worse than anyone else, and as ever the tubes get more attention than the true fans who are by far the majority of Well fans IMO. As mentioned previously, Phil O'Donnell, Nancy, Hearts Games, Kilmarnock game when we went into Administration, all these and other events have made me proud to be a Motherwell fan and of my fellow Well fans and I'm sure events yet to come will make me feel the same.
  12. Not sure about that one, IMO the 4th side would just kill any atmosphere in the stadium and just look plain weird, but I agree we need all of the types of facilities you mentioned if we ever are lucky enough to get a new stadium. Much prefer the Grimsby, Doncaster Rovers, Cut down Nancy stadium look. It's good this stadium dreaming stuff isn't it, when/if it finally becomes a reality and we get listned to "at all" I will be happy.
  13. Levein on the Radio. "3 - 0, at half time, never a true reflection on the first half" you're right mate it should have been 5 - 0
  14. Well done boys, feckin brilliant. Nearly crashed the car when the score came on the radio. Gutted I wasn't there. But so proud of every feckin one of them. God I love this club. Well done McGee and all the boys for all the hard work obviously going on in the training ground. MTID

    Highlights....

Great to get another chance to see that goal, even better than I remember, bit of a foul on the defender but what the hell we were due a bit of the rub of the green for a change. Thought ALL the guys put in a great shift last night and some good skill at times as well. They closed down Hearts at every opportunity and never gave them a minute on the ball. A great win and a much needed 3 point, onwards and upwards. It's great to see a bit of balance, skill and dig about the team. You don't really realise quite how much we miss guys like Clarkson and Craigen and what they bring to the team until they aren't playing. Hats off to McGee as well, obviously lots of hard work going on at the moment in the background and his much maligned signings are proving an awful lot of people wrong. Well done O'Brien and Klimpl cult favourites in the making. Only slight moan, Lasley & Hughes when you are through on goal for christ sake have a dig PLEASE!! C'mon the Well.
  16. Thought all the guys did well, including O'Brien but went for Klimpl as MOTM, gives us what we have been lacking in midfield, someone with good football ability and physical presence, who is willing to put himself about a bit, and poses a threat going forward. Funny one yesterday I thought that we were by far the better team and the only one that looked liked scoring but the ball just kept getting caught under the guys feet a vital times. People slag our playing surface but I thought that Love St. was a total disgrace, the ball was bobbling al over the place. Anyway much, much better that the games previous to this and the Inverness games. What was the fecking referee all about, total shitebag.
  17. Tell you what, save the admins a job and just ban yourself, ya big baby!! It would have been good if the club, somehow, could have secured the land that the College and Special school were on for a new stadium. It's close to our exising home and would give us plenty of land to build a new stadium with training facilities etc..and the opportunity to build afresh, although I guess infrastructure, transport and parking would still be an issue. Just a thought, feel free to disagree Dosser30, I won't take the huff.

Only annoying thing of the day was reading on this forum Yir Elders post - why did you feel the need to post the quote below? you may, or may not, have mentioned this as a possible idea as a tribute to Phil, but it sounds pretty pathetic and sad for you to feel the need to remind people and claim some sort of pat on the back for it. Nice suggestion, if it was you, but just leave it at that please. But of the game Well done today to all the players and coaching staff, I give them stick when they play badly so a big pat on the back to them. Early days I know but a few more displays like that and we will win more than we lose. A lot more like it today, the return of lots of movement and passing, there seemed to be a lot more balance about the team today due in no small part to the return of Clarkson and Craigen. Just goes to show that you just don't appreciate what some guys bring to the team untill they don't play for a few games. Looked better without Sutton (sorry John) but we just seem to go to the hump the ball up the park tactics when him and Porter play together. We gave away a couple of poor goals especially the first one, would like to see the penalty again it looked a very poor decision from Richmond. I cringe when I hear that he is refereeing one of our games absolutely awful referee. Thought that we had no failures today and the guys all put a right good shift in, special mention to Jim O'Brien, at last he gets a proper opportunity to show what he can do, not there yet but showed enough to deserve more starts. Klimpl gave us the pace and dig in midfield that we have been crying out for (hopefully we extend his contract). But overall back to front I thought the guys were excellent and gave Phil an excellent tribute of there own with that performance.
  19. Not a goal or anything like that, just seeing him again in a Motherwell strip and the reception he received when he came on as a sub in his second stint with us when Terry Butcher had signed him. Had tears in my eyes then just like I have just now typing this. Phil O'Donnell - Our Captain.. Never Forgotten, we all miss you.
  20. Merry Christmas - to all the lads and lassies on this forum, thanks for the chat and look forward to much more of it. Now Santa - I've been a really good boy all year so give us three point ya auld beardie bastard, or the reindeer get it!!
  21. I support Motherwell Football Club - end of story!!, always have always will. Call it blind loyalty or whatever you like, a few bad performances and a bit of poor communication from the club will never change that. I'll be buying my season ticket and supporting team through thick and thin no matter what.
  22. Totally agree star sail - excellent post. I don't think the players or management are exactly enjoying the current situation that we are in either, and would like a much easier life. They need to get their fingers out, but so do we. Yeah I know we are all entitled to our opinions but booing and verbal abuse doesn't exactly help especially at the moment. They are not exactly thinking "shit I better try harder because that baldy twat in the East stand thinks that I'm playing crap". I'm sure they would love to come into the stands and tell you to feck right off, if someone spoke to you like that's exactly what you would do. I think what the guys really need at the moment is for us to try and get right behind them as much as possible. 12th man and all that stuff, but I feel that they need that 12th man at the moment more than ever.. We've been in a lot worse situation than this over the years. Listening to Stephen Craigen on the Radio on Sunday brought it home to me a bit, they are good guys, earning relatively good money, but not exactly a fortune. They are putting in a shift but it isn't quite clicking at the moment but I've every confidence that it will. Keep the faith & C'MON THE WELL

    Mark McGhee

Torture to watch again today, but I agree as painful at it is at the moment, it's a bit early to be going down the "sack the manager" route for one we just can't afford it financially - end of story!! I would like to see how McGee performs in the transfer market in January. I've thought, like quite a few others, that we must be able to compete and be more imaginative in where and how we look for talent, if other teams can do it then why can't we? we have in the past. I can't really fault the guys for effort, just no confidence to take anyone on at the moment, along with a serious lack of form from not just one or two of them, which we might be able to hadle, but from most of the team, hence the hopeless long ball. Hopefully some new faces, winning some points and confidence getting boosted as a result and we will be on our way again and playing good football - fingers crossed. It's just all so predictable we toil for the first 30 - 40mins attacking, have a few near things but never really look like scoring, the other team scores and we have no way back. We relied on getting one or two up last season and holding out to get the victories, but the goals just aren't coming. I'm also sick watching us getting physically bossed all over the park. As a previous poster has mentioned what is real coming back to bite us on the arse is that we didn't strengthen the squad before the start of the season whether it be down to McGee's head being elsewhere or his pish of "allegedly" only signing players better that what we have - aye right!! Keep the faith - the only way is up!! MTID
  24. Cheers Flow, We can all be an unreasonable bunch at times - we are football fans after all, and coming at this from the other end it must be really frustrating if not hurtful for your attemps to be met with such negativity at times. Phone systems in itself isn't too bad, you just need to actually have people available at the end of each of the options as opposed to it going to voicemail. There was a default message relating to Nancy ticket information at that time could something similar not be available i.e. Option 2 for tickets then gives you opening times and info on if tickets are available or not, a bit more admin to keep it up to date but a useful feature IMO. I appreciate that some issues such as USH & and Stadium are sensitive, but the info only seems to come out when Mark McGee lets the cat out of the bag when being interviewed, and the little snippets that we hear obviously leads to conjecture and rumour. We all love our club, we just want to be even more proud of them by having the admin side of things sorted out. I'm sure you'll be "damned if you do, damned if you don't" to a certain extend but I for one really appreciate this healthy conversation and engagement with the club, official or not.
  25. Hats off to you Flow for being willing to confront this issue and hopefully move this forward in a constructive way. Website is a vast improvement on what was available previously. Hampden'91 why bother to post. My main gripes from the top of my head. Communication (or lack of) over changes to ticket pricing for Old Firm and other away fans. Information regarding state of undersoil heating, proposed move to another Stadium. Getting a hold of anyone at the club tried calling about 15 times today to find out opening times of the ticket office, no response from any number. When you are coming through from Glasgow this can be a real pain in the arse. On-line ticketing - why not?
