I am looking out my crash helmet as I write this. I was as peed off with him as anyone on Sunday but with the benefit of rewatching the game I have to say he got the major decisions right. Disallowed Cadden goal, technically correct Hearts penalty, correct Hearts penalty claim denied at the end, correct Aldred and McHugh bookings, correct (first fouls maybe but bad ones and we would have been screaming for them) Hearts booking after halfway line clash with McHugh, correct Naismith booking, correct. Kipre booking, correct. Was it a perfect performance, no...lack of playing advantage, and you could argue a few yellow cards could have been issued to certain Hearts players for persistent fouling, but it was far from the awful performance I thought it was and all the major decisions were correct.(imo) It is not his fault who is father is, all I can see is a young inexperienced guy making his way in the game, probably in top flight ahead of schedule because the overall standard is not good. We all complain the standard is terrible but I find myself wondering how many capable folks are put off getting into refeering given the stick dished out. (and I plead guilty myself to that). I think there is a bit of a witch hunt starting with this lad because of a few dodgy performances and who his father is, rather than judging on his own merits, which in time may or may not prove to be good enough. I am now disappearing into my nuclear bunker for a few days Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

Scottish Premiership Game 30 :Hamilton (A) 10/03/18 15:00

Yep arguably our strongest 11 with Cifti my one concern. He has had quite a few games now to get up to speed and shows nice touches but it just doesn't seem to be happening for him, but hey just one concern is a helluva improvement for us !! Decent strength and options on the bench again. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk -

That was my take on it too and i have waited to watch it on tv again before commenting. Not a dive by Aldred was a slight push but when a player is full tilt and then off balance near a boundary wall he is going to fall in that way. Aldred made nothing of it when he got up. These cowardly actions can have consequences. I was playing in a game (gk), through ball, defender running back as I came out to collect, forward pushed him in the back, the push meant he lost balance, crashed into me, broke his leg in 2 places and I got off lightly with a severely bruised knee. Forward was taken off then driven away for his own protection in the meantime our man is lying on a pitch for 30 minutes waiting on an ambulance. Regarding Al B having a go at Aldred each to his own but after a momentous team effort and great result wouldn't it be great just to for once concentrate on the positive. Agreed and consider also what tough draws we have had in both competitions Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

Agreed Manager played a blinder...we were under the cosh but then switching Tait into a back 4 plus Bowman on, then a positive attacking change with Frear coming on late. Great we have players like Tait and Cadden versatile enough to handle that Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk -

Heard Levein's post match comments having a moan...I paraphrase Motherwell never really troubled us I never saw that coming We should have had a penalty......and the most telling comment of all..I was thinking about putting another forward on to try and win.. ....well thank fuk we have a manager that did exactly that with Frear and just didn't think about it. Tbh i nearly didn't go despite having a ticket as the snow started again out here and i only had wife's tuc tuc to come through in so hard to be critical of those that didn't attend but was a very disappointing home turn out. That said the noticable thing in all quarter finals was decent or excellent away supports and home supports below their season ticket holder numbers. In our case it looks even worse cause our numbers are smaller. Anyway well done to all there, stayed behind the team, and always better to celebrate a goal like that surrounded by fellow Well fans rather than on tv. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk -

Really interesting read thanks for posting. I once worked in sales for a wine and spirits merchant and came across him in his Edinburgh pub, nice guy and when I told him I was a Well fan was more than happy to chat, he did seem to genuinely enjoy his time with us. Remember that cup game at C'beath as well, yes what a support that day. Interesting what he says about enjoying playing for Willie McLean as if I remember correctly he took some stick for playing 3-5-2 and supposedly showing C'beath too much respect. Funny the things you remember or not, as I can't remember much about the game itself other than it was pretty turgid for a while. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

Thistle finished in top 6 last year, had a torrid time which couldn't have been good for confidence or morale and could be that has contributed to their bad time this season. I know there have been ins and outs since but losing is not an easy habit to break as can be seen when relegated teams often go into a further downward spiral. I think we have more about us than that Thistle side had and doubt we would have 5 defeats, but the prospect of another home game and chance to give some competitive game time to some of our youngsters means that I would not be overly disappointed if we missed out, long as we are in decent form and have won enough points between now and the split to be well clear of 11th. I would take a cup final before top 6 this season for sure. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

Roy McGregor is a successful businessman and you cannot argue with County's journey under his control but potting McIntyre was a strange and panicky decision, appointing Coyle an even stranger one, bit of an own goal all round. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

BIG assumption but really hope its on Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk -
Would agree with that however in terms of priorities i would say he has got it right even if it is not pretty at times. Have no doubt we can build from a solid base in that regard. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

Agreed .. Robbo's press conference post semi final was absolutely superb ... 'Pedro doesn't need to concern himself with the final' [emoji23] Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

Not quite sure what ya bezzers trying to prove here. It is irrelevant where points come from its the total that counts and we have enough to be challenging for top 6 which not many thought feasible in August with a total rebuild of a team on a negligible budget. Worthy of praise I would say not forensic analysis of stats. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

If you read my post you will see I acknowledge the manipulation point in Jamie's case. We all have different buttons/switches/idyiosicrancies and badge kissing just happens to be one of mine, but I'm sure I will eventually get over it, sort out my sad life, and move on [emoji16] Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

Because rightly or wrongly I associate badge kissers as insincere supporter manipulators when in fact the vast majority of players will go where the money is. Not that there is anything wrong with that, its a short career and you have to make the most out of it. I admire Murphy greatly, thought he was great with us and conducted himself very well, followed his career with great interest down south, and hope he does play for Scotland. He is just not the type if guy I would expect to see indulging in badge kissing, but if they are the only team he ever wanted to play for and has a genuine affection for the club and wants to show it in that fashion then he has every right to. Not the worst crime committed on a football pitch, I merely passed a comment on how I felt about it. So in a nutshell 'I was disappointed because I am a great fan of Murphy and how he conducts himself, and I associate badge kissing with less sincere and genuine players' Whether or not Motherwell were involved or not is irrelevant; you are a knowledgable follower of football and I have no doubt have opinions across games/club/players that we are not involved in. However if he does it at Fir Park after scoring against us (not that i think he would) just watch this board light up [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

Agree he should be in Scotland squad now he is playing regular first team football As for my life it is well sorted, and was disappointed, not offended

Me too.....his behaviour was always impeccable and mature with us and in England but that really surprised and disappointed me Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
