A very sensible measured and accurate summary of the situation. Some other comments on this subject leave me shaking my head in bewilderment. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk -
I havent yet but i will be. Thought he was excellent. Correct that he is not the best passer of a ball but defensively was terrific today (and last week). Folks around me commented on similar vein as did manager. Tanner, Tait, Hartley, Carson did well also Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

We were dropping out the game before Frear went off cause we effectively had 10 men even when he was on. Hamstring went minutes after he came on and he hobbled abiut for 10 mins or so. Still some eejit in the main stand berating him for not chasin a ball down. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk -

Did we play Celtic twice Aberdeen away Hearts away and have 6 away games in these 8? Not saying its any excuse but context required ( gulp!! says me who hasnt checked what the 8 games were under Bara) Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk -
Robbo stated at agm we are in negotiations to make it permanent come January. Whether that happens is another story heres hoping Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

It was a question from the floor from an obviously well informed source which referenced the match commander and our head of stadium security wanting them moved and asking what the boards view was. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

I think this maybe one of those damned if we do damned if we dont decisions. While it would potentially create a raucus atmosphere at that end as the Cooper stand would i think be then likely to break into song more often, I think it would leave the other end of the ground with all the atmosphere of the moon when we are attacking there. I would be tempted to leave as is but it does appear the police and our own stadium security are behind this. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

No real stand outs but thought Hammell was rock solid especially after being out so long. Tanner decent too. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

Scottish Premiership Game 18: Kilmarnock (A) 16/12/17 15:00

So we are without our 4 top players and lose our best player from our last game (Frear). We have lost 3 away games in a row each by a goal and SOME folks are on here pant wetting and criticising all and sundry and worried about relegation. If we had been outclassed in these games and been turning in McGhee like performances there would be total justification for that, but we haven't been. That said losing (even narrowly and unluckily) can become a habit so it is vital we get some points on board before the break. That was the first goal we have lost from a corner this season and our goallie needed to be stronger. If our new keeper looks the part in training i think he will be playing next week. Thought Kipre and Dunne did fine as centre backs in a back 4 and Killie did not threaten much from open play until late on when we were chasing it. Defensively McHugh did ok in front of back 4 but again distribution was poor. Newell looked very good when he came on and although Biggi was decent he ran out of legs near the end demonstrating why he has mainly been used as a second half sub. Fisher needs to show more. Some nice touches but peripheral. Tanner always looking to make things happen. Good fight and commitment (which is a minimum requirement) but by god we need a break. (And the crowd to stay with them) Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk -

Haha cheers Coutsy will consider myself reprimanded! Btw have been to most games this year and while such a pairing is not without its issues and wouldnt remotely be my first choice, in the context of Hartley's absence and having McHugh lying deep and the experience of Hammell alongside it wouldnt be any worse than Wed first half. I think Dunne is OK defensively it is his passing that gives me the fear. All about opinions mate and yours are every bit as valid as mine Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk -

Its an interesting game. From Robbos comments Killie are going more direct under Clarke and getting it forward quickly so perhaps 4 at the back and picking up more second balls might be more important than 5 in the middle. If we are 4 at the back i think there is real merit in your call re Dunne to middle and Hammell at fb, but with McHugh also protecting the back 4, although plastic pitch might be an issue for Stevie. I must admit I swore when I heard Frear is injured never rains but it pours i guess it depends on type of injury whether he will be risked on that pitch. Sid hasn't got it for me which probably means he will score a hat trick!! Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk -

Funny how we see things differently I just thought he looked utterly pissed off and very disappointed at the errors. Didn't think he looked frightened just thought he was keeping a lid on his emotions. Quiet anger can sometimes be more effective Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk -
Moult is defo off.... club has now announced it. Preston undisclosed. Doubt McHugh will leave but like you i think there is doubt over midfield players and while I hate to write off players early don't think Petravicus has got it (delighted if proved wrong). Haven't seen Plummer to comment but maybe thats an indication in itself. Fishing in the pool we have to is far from easy, you do turn up nuggets but equally you also turn up Clays, Taylors, and Jules. All the checks in the world are no guarantee how it will turn out. Well just back and first of all hope everyone there is still in one piece after negotiating the icy pavements...saw a few spills. Couldnt disagree with anything Robbo said post match he sounded really low though and interestingly just sat down in dug out after 3rd goal. I think he did initially get it wrong tonight. I thought we should have gone for the jugular from the start against a team low on confidence but went again with our usual combative and hard running set up which with the exception of Frear created zip, but Thistle score with their only 3 efforts on target, each one the result of a glaring individual mistake. The 10 minutes before ht we did look better as Grimshaw in particular seemed to get a grip and drive us on, but Thistle had basically shut up shop by that time and were sitting deeper which did allow us more possession. Both ht subs made a huge difference, thought Tanner was terrific and in the deeper central midfield role Biggi looked a far better option than our out of sorts skipper. Frears link up play with Tanner was excellent and with a bit of luck we could have scraped the point. Thistle offered nothing going forward. Bowman looks a frightened lost soul out there. The loss of Moult and the Rangers publicity has obviously affected him. Tonight was the night for him to stick his chest out and show 'I am the main man'. Nothing in his body language or play showed the slightest sign of that. LIthuanian is out his depth although doubt he would have started if Fisher was fit. Good also to see McLean back. There is an opportunity for him now I Without Hartley we cannot play a back 3. McHugh not mobile enough, Ok in a back4. If Carson and Hartley had played tonight we win, but we do need to have better back up in both positions. The January window is a vital one for us in terms of departures and arrivals. Good support tonight. Largely stayed with the team, good to see but I sense that will not last forever. So all in all hugely disappointed but pleased with fighting qualities, just wish we would start games more on the front foot. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk -

Great post...I just hope we don't get toys out the pram from sections of our support if we don't pick up points in next few games as that certainly won't help. I think we have exceeded everyone's expectations thus far and it is unrealistic to expect a club like us to cope with losing our 4 best players for a few games without a dip in performances. It would be great if the fringe players DO step up but if they don't that will help inform Robbo's decisions come January. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk -

Agree wholeheartedly with your point about long balls, however to have a go at Robbo for playing Blyth and Jules last year is pretty disengenious. Look I get it you don't rate/like/want him but at least be fair....he had precious little option player wise last year and for keeping arguably the worst squad we have had for decades in the top division he deserves great praise, not criticised for picking certain players who he didn't rate himself Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk -
