  1. Hartley for me, excellent in defence and just watched his goal again, superb movement and quick feet. Terrific Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  2. You cannot play the ball on the ground on that apology for a pitch so it was horses for courses and glad to see we can adjust to different curcumstances but jeeez it wasn't pretty Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  3. I noticed after the game Robbo walking with him as if trying to gee him up, think the big fella is lacking confidence. Noticed also that immediately after another first half mistake Hammy was sent for a warm up plus also got a more intensive 1 to 1 warm up at ht, we were convinced he was coming on. This is my only worry at moment, not sure if Hammy has the legs for Hampden but thought he was terrific v Adeen and as a second half sub v Hearts?. He has played in a 3 at back before. Tough call Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  4. Would agree with most of that although didn't think young Campbell had a particularily good game by his high standards. Was my first look at Carson close quarters and imo he is the real deal, just exudes confidence and decisiveness. No doubt in my mind last years team would have lost that game. On another point the sooner that horrible mob and their horrible pitch and their awful style of football are out the SPL the better Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  5. Was thinking exactly the same thing...Saints were really poor (they will not have a good season)and Rangers nothing special. Left back John good going forward but poor defensively. Nothing to fear if we impose ourselves Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  6. Fantastic news, delighted Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  7. Agree with all of that, what a thick skin he has needed and I am so pleased for him more than anyone for the turnaround in our fortunes. It would be nice if some of those so quick to criticise and demean him would be as quick to acknowledge they were wrong but I'll no hold my breath. Yes mistakes have been made but for me he showed he was the real deal by standing up to Rangers over play off tickets. He showed a bit of balls in our dealings with the old firm/establishment and I have no doubt that inspired OUR fans on the day. There will be bumps in the road ahead but I am glad we have someone like Flow at the helm, and I suppose I should sign off by saying a) I am not Flow and b) I do not know him well [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4] Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  8. Tend to agree, just feeding off the usual lazy journalism by 'pundits' and the like who have no in depth knowledge of teams outside the old firm and Adeen. Still at least good to see our club 'recognised' Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  9. Yeah do you blame me! Am over it now[emoji4][emoji4][emoji4] Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  10. I don't remember him at all?? Not ringing any bells Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  11. Jelavic turned Hutchy for equaliser. If I remember correctly we went into that on a poor run of form with little expectation but actually played well on the day and yes Lasley goal was a cracker....think it might have been January 2009? or therabouts Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk Edit what a load of bolloks....it was January 2011, Naismith did indeed score the winner (in 83 mins) after Las equalised in 66 mins, edu had opened scoring in 20 mins. We beat Dun Utd 1-0 with a Gow goal in 86 mins in the quarter final. Think Broon was mumpin his gums about getting a bonus for us reaching the semi final even though he no longer our manager but AS EVER might be wrong!
  12. Reasonable assessment, more I think about it St Johnstone should be in our sights and as for cup runs lets have 2!. Anyways nice to have a debate about how high up the table we will finish, not how lowly we will be Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  13. Who do you think will beat us to a top 6 place? If we assume Celtic Aberdeen and Rangers are the top 3 (and in the case of Rangers thats a big if), then I believe we will fight it out with Hibs StJohnstone and Hearts for the other 3 places. We are currently 1 point behind, level, and 4pts ahead of these 3 teams. I dont think anyone else will contend and I believe it will be tough but that if we can maintain our current performance level we can do it. I predict Hibs 4th us 5th and StJ/Hearts for 6/7th. Whether we do or not we have more than enough to stay clear of trouble and have another cup run. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  14. I do indeed and was mildly amused at it all. Pre season is when you find out what works and what doesn't, who can do what and who can't, etc etc. Lessons learned against Gateshead and Barrow have contributed to our great start. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  15. Nor did the performance....bloody awful, I am sure if the team had 'had a go' the volume would have been higher Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  16. Agreed but don't forget Newell as well, I think both have been brought in as medium/long term possible replacements Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  17. Bit of perspective needed...yes flat all round and anyone who has played sport will tell you how difficult it is to replicate a peak like Thursday. Disappointed but not too down. Adeen were bound to be up for it and they are second best team in Scotland. We will need to learn and will. We played too many long balls and our best moments were the odd occasion we did get it down. Hartley outstanding, but Kipre showed his inexperience and McHugh was poor in possession yet again. The fact Adeen were so pleased to win shows how far we have come. Onwards and upwards Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  18. Reckon its more being 35 and a hard shift a few days ago and yes Rose missing will be interesting hopefully Biggi will step up although different types of players Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  19. Agreed ..... I do airbnb so happy to host for nowt and am only 35 mins from Edinb Airport so the offer is there anytime you can make it Mr L. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  20. Great stuff Mr Larsson hope you manage to get over again and if you do let us all know here. I am sure you will be warmly welcomed and enjoy some true dosser hospitality Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  21. I am struggling to keep a lid on it as well, however for the first time ever as a Well fan watching us 2 goals up I was never nervous we were going to blow it. All the things we have had issues with over the years seem to have been sorted. Our game management in the second half was quite superb and not something we are used to seeing. 1. We are fit and athletic....no team will out fight us or physically intimidate us 2. We actually take throw ins quickly (and its Andy Rose who shows most and gives the thrower an option) 3. We are organised and have a plan. Free kicks and corners are dangerous as well 4. We also have a plan b when needed (and I have no doubt a plan c and d as well!) 5. We have a team playing for each other ( Moult applauding Bowman off the park, Bowman speaking to Fisher as he replaced him, celebrations on the subs bench at 3rd goal) 6. We have a growing connection between fans and team which will be vital when we inevitably have an off day 7. We have a board in sync with the manager and who do business the right way in the transfer market 8. We have talent in the u20s gaining game time on loan and seeing through Campbell and Cadden there is opportunity to progress 9. We have fierce competition for places (or even a place on the bench) 10. We have various options on the bench that can strengthen the team not weaken it. All of this makes us also an attractive proposition for the right type of player to join us and keep the momentum going which will be vital as inevitably I think we will lose the likes of Kipre, Moult, and Cadden at the end of the season For all of this a huge thanks to Robbo, Flow, Las, and everyone working behind the scenes. Last night was right up there, the old place was rocking in a way I haven't seen since the play off game, but the difference this time was it was not about survival but about success. My mojo had gone the last few seasons, but it's well and truly back now and even if there is a setback on Sunday nothing will change that. I'm away for a wee lie down now!!
  22. Neither..we concentrate on one game at a time Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  23. Good summary as ever. I know what you are saying re midfield but given its a squad game nowadays and we have options on a strong bench I wonder whether the game plan was to win the midfield 'battle' and then push on with more creative players ie Biggi, who I am not convinced is ready for an engine room scrap. Anyways great to be debating the hows of positive results!! Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  24. Another game leaving the ground enthused and smiling (as most were). First half poor Robinson was trying to get word to Dunne to play it shorter, Hammel on was a game changer ... shorter crisper passing. Campbell and Bowman outstanding as was Hartley, one of the best Well debuts I've seen. When you have the spine of the team strong you can get away with a lot. Subs spot on yet again. Biggi for Rose was right at that time and Hartley had signalled to the bench with tight hamstrings, good maturity last thing we all needed was him injured. McHugh did well going back but for all the comments about players going past him and being on the slow side we did lose a bit in midfield when he went back. So lots to be pleased about and there is obviously more to come. Spirit, fitness, organisation, options, yet still around me in the pod some moanin chunts. Wtf do you people want especially 'shakemaheidy' Looking forward to Adeen league cup tie.. could be a very special fir park night Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
