I feel your pain Gav and I posted similar sentiments (although maybe not as strong) last year. Loyalty though is a 2 way street and as others have pointed out 10/15/20 years ago we had players here for a season or two and then gone. I have no issue with that as long as they play well when here. The other side of the coin is clubs show no loyalty if a player loses form, is not liked by a new manager, or gets injured. It is a short career and players need to maximise their opportunities which they will not do as one club players. I would love to see more home grown players in the first team and I have no doubt so would the club. Development fees if they move on even at the end of contracts are lucrative for the club (Erwin!), but these same rules prohibit us going for young Scottish talent from other clubs as they are too expensive. Hence the model we have but the caveat for me is to see more of our own in the first team as the next 2 seasons progress, and a better quality of signings (which in the main this season we have). For now I would say the youngsters are not ready and fans would quite rightly criticise the manager for throwing them in en mass and have us in trouble yet again. We are not the only club with this issue and I feel it is not the club that is the issue its the system. Anyway hope your golf had a better result than the team on Sunday Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Cadden just ahead of Kipre and Heneghan Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Yeah Tanner does seem to divide opinion, I have now warmed more to him and think he will be good for us, absolute peach of a delivery for equaliser, just have to accept not every delivery will be as good !!! Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

I can exclusively reveal that Sky TV have been taken over by Rangers TV (or so it seemed). Sychophantic unprofessional coverage Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Interesting point about Carson, must mean the defence in front of him doing a few things right. Good stop near the end although was offside. Certainly looks the part in terms of confidence/organisation Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Decent performance yes lacking in quality at times but fought hard Cadds Kipri Dunn pretty good. Cant legislate for top scorer missing a sitter and giving away a pen. Had it with Bowman, Fisher unlucky, terrific save and chance set up by 'off the pace' McHugh who to be fair wasnt as good without Biggi beside him. We will be fine this season..younger fitter and better organised Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Craig Clay came on for Orient 79 mins. They got beat 2-0 away to Sutton. Yet another great little club ruined by numpty owners. Challenging for championship to non league in a few seasons Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Agreed...there is a compilation somewhere on you tube of his goals for us, outstanding finishing. I warmed to Higdon when he was asked about the stick he was getting fron the fans (I think it was v Abdeen). Rather than bleating about it he replied that having just seen the highlights he was surprised he didn't get more stick. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Exactly this I remember that game and if I am correct Gannon left him out there for the full game, it was torture to watch. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

We will absolutely be better than last season. I dont honestly think SR is going to sign lower league english players if he thinks we have u20s good enough to step up now. To me (and I have seen them a few times) they are nowhere near ready to take on that responsibility and it could adversely affect their future careers. To me the key is improve on last season and gradually move to a more home grown model and I have no doubt that will happen. It won't happen without shorter term improvement in the first team to keep the club safe and quite rightly thats where the focus is. I have no doubt the Campbells and McLeans will get their chance as the season progresses but for now much as I would prefer a more home based squad what we have in terms of atheticism, age, and potential sell on is light years ahead of last season Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Yeah which means now we at least get a fee for him if he goes at the end of this season, and given his abilities thats what will happen. While 3 years would have been great this is pretty fair all round Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Some good points there but as Morton were already 2-0 down and offering no threat when Harkins was sent off I don't think Duffy could have changed the outcome. 3 at the back doesn't seem to be popular on here and I understand concerns however Robbo used it extensively last season and I think it will be his preferred option in most games this year. He tightened up our defence last season and a lot of our goals conceded were due to individual mistakes from a bomb scare defender and flapping gkeeper rather than because it was a back 3. Under Robbo we have not lost a game by more than 1 goal and now he has arguably better players who will be better protected by McHugh and Biggi, and a keeper who looks more capable so I am less worried than some about a back 3, and I trust his judgement about when to play it or go back 4. However as you quite rightly say we will find out soon enough against tougher opposition ! Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

All about opinions mate and while I don't think he was man of the match really can't see where you are coming from in describing him as awful Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Far from perfect today but sharper than last week and to be frank no matter how many we scored in the last 2 games there would still be folks belittling it due to lower league opposition, conveniently forgetting how many times we have tripped up in such games before. I like the way the team is shaping up and am cautiously optimistic for the season ahead Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

If we had youngsters who were ready now they would be in the team and have no doubt that is the longer term plan, however in Scottish football there is a real issue in youngsters being good enough to make that step up. I have no doubt that as suspensions, injury, and form issues kick in some of the youngsters will get their chance but for me what I've seen of them while some are promising (McLean/Campbell) they at the moment are well behind the players who have been brought in. I also commented today on a lack of Scots in the line up so I understand where you are coming from but for me an improvement on last season is more important. If it can be done also carefully blooding and bringing on some youngsters then I'll be delighted. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Yeah remember him as well....decent player, bloody awful illness Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Totally agree, he has been great for us twice over but not for me this time Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

McHugh by a country mile...Kipre could be interesting and delighted for Bowman starting the season with 5 goals so far Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

And you will probably be one of those moaning like hell we sold him too cheap. He will go if and when the price is right Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

When it comes to petty point scoring on grammar you have to wonder. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

A reasonable point of view and although weeyin put forward an alternative view in his reply which I tend to agree with, I understand the points raised and perhaps more importantly appreciate the sensible manner in which they were raised. Reasoned debate...lets hope its the future! Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Sadly in life there are people whose default position is negativity and who love to have a go at anything and anyone, yet find it impossible to give out praise when its due. Reading some (far from all) of the comments on here has me shaking my head in bewilderment at times. Nowt wrong with criticism as such, differing views is healthy, I just don't understand the pant wetting this early with virtually a new team and limited resources. I actually think some folks love a crisis Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Enjoyed that..great read Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
