  1. Lee Bullen not been mentioned anywhere, doing a great job at Ayr on tight budget and a legend as a player and captain at Sheff Wed, interim mgr 3 times with 50% win rate at difficult periods. Well travelled in early part if his career, wiki page really interesting. No shrinking violet in dressing room I'll bet
  2. I was a gk, only played at amateur level, but for a gk more than any other position confidence in yourself and your defenders is essential. So much of goalkeeping is split second decision making and reflexes. When your confidence is low and your mind is not clear you start overthinking and second guessing leading to the sort of mistakes that Liam is now making. I've never understood making a gk captain for that reason. I wouldn't drop him, but I would move the captaincy to an outfield player, only one game I know but Butcher looked capable of that role
  3. Jack Ross performed a miracle in keeping St Mirren in Championship, (they were miles adrift when he took over), preventing back to back relegations, before bringing them back up. Dundee Utd was a strange one though, but I wouldn't dismiss him
  4. Last time the club took a stand re away tickets (Rangers play off game), we were backed by the biggest and noisiest home support I can remember and I sincerely hope this welcome move does encourage a bigger home support at these games. As for the regretable decisions made in the past re Cooper Stand for auld squirm, that was under different management to what we have now, and shouldn't be held against the club anymore Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  5. We have the 3rd highest SPL points tally in 2019, 6 points less than Sevco and zillions less than Celtic, but better than all the rest, including Killie. But thats not good enough for some apparently Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  6. Glad we won't all adopt that attitude....can't get my head round that reasoning. Many reasons why folks might not renew a season ticket but thats a corker. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  7. Credit to the manager for subs. I thought we lost the plot a bit immediately after the sending off, but subs changed it, Main held it up better and McHugh was terrific always showing, never wasted a pass, got us a foothold back in the game. Great entertainment. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  8. ATS scores for Crewe in a 3-1 defeat, Theo Robinson scores for Swindon in a 3-1 win Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  9. It was indeed, if I remember correctly we were 1 up through Kirk and cruising, we missed a sitter for 2-0, then Utd scored 2 late goals I think through Brewster with Dykstra at fault for at least 1 of them. Game was originally scheduled for 9/4 but played midweek 3/5. Crowd was only 5200 when we had a genuine chance of winning league. Winning that game and EITHER Raith away or St J home would have won us the league...we were that close Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  10. Don't think its anything to do with Craigan leaving, perhaps media team are short handed and having to prioritise since Lewis Irons left? Just a guess though. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  11. Agreed, the loss to Dundee Utd at home was the killer. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  12. McCall sacked by Scunthorpe Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  13. Was at the game and it was absolutely brutal. Dylan came on as second half sub and looked even bigger and less mobile than I remember. Tucked away his pen nicely though. Darren Smith complete with beard had a decent game, but overall it was rotten. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  14. Indeed, both subbed and Anier missed a 1 on 1 just before NI scored their second. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  15. Jacob Blyth scores for Barrow away at Wrexham.......Cedric benched for Wigan, perhaps a long ever present season is catching up with him? Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  16. Right subs today, Gorin on a yellow, game won, lets get Carl back onto the pitch after his recent injury, lets give Danny Johnson some game time and see if he can adapt to lone striker role, (looked like he can't), and when your style of play requires 2 wingers, make sure another winger also gets a good run out to keep him sharp and involved. 17. Because it is in their DNA to be moaning chunts. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  18. Like Aryibi you mean? Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  19. Unused sub on fri night Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  20. Aye and it worries me that some folks are writing Accies off. A 2-0 win at Pittodrie will give them a boost. Think we will win but not as easily as some suggest Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  21. Absolutely....it strikes me that exciting as Jake is, (and I watched him also in the reserves), he has been something new for opposition to contend with. Now he has had exposure our opponents will no doubt be working on ways of nullifying him as Celtic and Killie did to a large extent. The acid test for him is coping with that greater exposure and opposition attention. Then we will know if we truly do have a star in the making. As others have said the clubs record re young players shows far more rights than wrongs. IF we have got this wrong and Jake does move on for a development fee only, then sobeit, I certainly won't be critical towards those entrusted with these calls. 23. They are now bottom of the French second tier which seems incredible given where they were 10 years ago. Don't know if that will make your thundersticks even more valuable? ???? Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  24. Mjc post on page 20 is an absolute pearler Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  25. What a great post. One of the reasons I seldom come on here anymore is not because folk have different opinions (which is healthy) but because of the vitriolic and personal nature of some of the attacks on our manager, chief exec, and some players and fellow posters. I see the usual suspects have gone quiet, awaiting no doubt a defeat or poor performance to take to their keyboards again. Don't get me wrong, there were questions to answer and mistakes made, can't say any of us were happy at what we were watching. I just despaired at the lack of reasoned thought, balance and the vindictivness of some contributions. Suppose its easy sitting behind a keyboard. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
