  1. Excellent news Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  2. on what basis do you think Mbulu is ready to play instead of McHugh? especially as he has been signed for reserves initially. Btw saw him on Tues and looks decent and we may well see him in first team this season, but not just yet. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  3. Strange game in many ways, Shire made a game of it 2nd half until 2 injuries after all subs on reduced them to 9 men. Mbulu strolled through game, looked confortable on the ball, passed well, and showed good anticipation to stop a goal when a long ball caught Ferguson in no mans land. On tonights showing (and it IS only 1 game) I don't think Scott and Livingstone are near the first team, Turnbull, Mbulu, Hastie, Watson and Maguire look to be ahead of them. 10. Agreed, given lack of match fitness I thought he did very well, especially first half, never lost a header. Hung out to dry a bit late 2nd half playing wider. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  11. No its called being objective without an agenda. And btw we were shite yesterday. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  12. As ever Andy a superb post and agree with every word. Robbo kept up a far worse team than this one, he gave us great cup runs and safety in the league so a lot of credit in the bank from me. However it is a results business all that will mean nowt if form and results don't improve. The manner of our defeat today took me from mildly concerned to very concerned. 13. If thats the case (and I hope it is!) I stand corrected. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  14. We got about 400k dev fee when he left us for Leeds so that ship has sailed Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  15. Well thought out and reasoned assessment hopefully the 2 line (they are all shite) posters on here will have found the time to read and digest what a good analysis and well articulated comment looks like even if they don't agree with all of it. The issue for me is that our agricultural style of play is tolerated as long as we get results, but with mainly below par performances so far and the continuation of last seasons shortcomings with little sign of change I understand why the knives are out quicker than would otherwise be the case. If progress isn't made I fear we will start turning in on ourselves again which in turn makes it harder for players. I hope solid footballing wins against Accies and Livi takes the heat off as I dread the reaction if not. Time for cool heads. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  16. Totally agree Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  17. No.....weeyins comment alluded to the fact that Vigurs lack of pace as an opposing player played a significant fact in some goals Humphrey scored. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  18. Brilliant post absolutely spot on Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  19. Hasn't missed that many games for someo ne with a dodgy shoulder. I am convinced though he and Kipre will be away this window. Gillespie hasn't come to play back up, McHugh is going back to centre half, Donnelly can play right side of a back 3, and Maguire wasn't sent on loan. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  20. Wingers always tend to divide supports as generally they are not consistent and the standard of full back they face will vary. I think if Frear doesn't get the ball at the right angle or the full back and/or other cover is well positioned he is reluctant to take him on and potentially lose possession, and I can almost hear the moans if that happens. No matter how good the winger is and how bad the full back is he is not going to skin him every time, and while Cadden and Tait work together well on the right side Frear seems more isolated on the left and therefore we are more vulnerable if he does lose possession, hence I think his reluctance at times to take the full back on unless he feels cover is behind. That said he had a great run and shot in the first half, and as the full back tired he certainly did start taking him on more as 2nd half went on, and successfully. I think he is a big player for us and when you see him laying on a goal like Sammons and scoring a hat trick I do understand the frustration it doesn't happen more often, but it ain't static dustbins he is playing against and that has an effect also. 21. Seems like the 'depth' of our squad is going to get a severe test at Hibs game with Campbell and Maguire suspended, Bowman a doubt, Hartley still feeling his way back, and Tanner and Dunne out injured. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  22. Excellent post. What I was alluding too earlier but much better articulated!! Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  23. Understand where you are coming from but in a dressing room scenario where everyone knows whats going on that is highly unlikely. If a player was being singled out it would become obvious. Also Josh has nothing to gain from commenting. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  24. There was some hoofball last night but thought there was plenty examples when we got it down and played, also recirculating the ball along the back line which then had some behind me moaning we weren't getting it forward quickly enough.......can't please all of the people all of the time I guess.....as long as we vary it and play it at the right time a quick long ball out of defence can be very effective, if we rely on it all the time then less so. From whst I have seen there was a bit more variation last night until the last 20 minutes when we went 4-5-1 to shut the game down, something which plenty on here moaned we hadn't done under previous regimes. 25. Jee whizz telling a player he is not up to the standard required, dropping him and putting him on the transfer list.......that would be called bullying nowadays!! And what about the photo caption? Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
