  1. Tht'a true, when he was at school Man U had him down for trials every school holiday and they were his No.1 but Motherwell were definitely his Scottish team.
  2. Think he was just shattered Ricky, had been struggling for a few minutes before that. OH and when we reduce prices to a reasonable level, ban live TV and keep games at 3pm of a Seterday then we might see a difference in our home crowd. Until then what we have is what we got.
  3. Be interesting to see just how far along the road we've come, good test for the lads. Looking forward to it immensely like some others. Lunchtime kick-offs recently have been more hassle than they've been worth but I have a feeling tomorrow will be well worth the rushing about to get there from the boys game in the morning.
  4. You're kidding right? Two weeks worth?????
  5. Think that was the aftermath of the Ancell babes break-up was it not? Born in 64 so hazy memories obviously
  6. Careful now, some folks don't like folks who say things like that
  7. The Main Stand is a different issue entirely though. I sat up there with my Dad in the 70s and OF fans were sat directly behind us, wasnt pleasant at all but having them in there was considered the norm. Giving them one of our stands after specifically asking and being told no was totally a different situation. Totally sympathise with anyone who has to endure being close to the scummy fuckers but it can only be fixed by giving them just the South Stand. Not going to happen is it?

Sure did, thoroughly enjoyed it. How could they not enjoy becoming British Champions?

Don't cheapen our achievement by comparing it with meaningliess shite like the Champions & Runners Up league if you please.

Emmm, naw cos we werenae British Champions until Sunday. Cannae go making ridiculous retrospective claims just to satisfy a juvenile sense of humour.

Funnily enough that's exactly what I've been telling folk all week. 'mon the Mighty Dossers.
  12. How can you tell, all the pics from that era are in black and white
  13. Which is why it was suggested we have Claret & Amber trim on any Centenary Special issue, easily sorted. Just to be sure I checked that historical kits page again, since my memory ain't what it used to be Always blue and white but the gold and black stripes were teamed with navy shorts. Mind you Big Keith might remember better seeing as he was involved in the changeover I believe.
  14. I didn't enter either competition but remember it well in the 70s. I'd spend more time designing Well kits at Primary than schoolwork. Some of them would make ye boak right enough though. Am claiming the blue yin when it comes out cos ah've been harping on about it for long enough.
  15. Didn't we have Blue and White, then black and gold stripes, then back to blue?
  16. We need an away version of that superb page.
  17. Your avatar is so appropriate Class act oor Gary
  18. As said done to death, they didn't fill it enough so we got it back. If they brought enough the decision wouldn't have been reversed but truth was there was never an extra 2K when the scum came to town bar the odd exception. Failed experiment and rightful owners back in place. Let's never see our territory given up so meekly ever again.
  19. You'll never relax milo, there will always be something potentially round the corner
  20. If we don't get a home tie in the League Cup then the first home tie in the Scottish is free, if we don't get a home tie at all, we lose. Simples
  21. Don't think Brannock was even built when weeyin wis at school wis it? Oh and mines is Gary Mac, in my regi class at Braidhurst for all 4 years there. Do I win, Scotland Captain and all?

Yip you must be too remote. It wasn't about Man Utd or even Motherwell, the game was a curtain raiser for a new initiative/charity which will hopefully help Lanarkshire kids and give some of them a better chance in life. Something to be supported in my humble. But some had other agendas to pursue for whatever reason. End of the day if nothing else it was another chance to see Gannons' Young Guns above all else, fine way to spend an afternoon.
  23. A wee clue here, check the ebay sellers name.
