  1. Without checking back seem to remember Andy Walker or Rab Stewart scoring a late yin v Brechin tae clinch 1st Div title back in 85
  2. Sure you could come up with a few where your mob have done fuck all and nicked it at the death Humper, Kris Boyd made it something of an art form against us. The Baistard
  3. Stephen Pearson headed home a late winner against Killie during Terry Butchers reign, Cooper end, first home game of the season perhaps?
  4. Pffft, how long you been reading OSB? And you still don't get it? Move that tongue along a bit to the side Edit ; Offeeshal phrase I believe is 'cheap at twice the price'
  5. But did they actualy hear it, or were they just surmising? Some folk do like to read way too much into things then claim it as fact you know
  6. On a side note, anyone able to spare an hour to help sell on Saturday? Would be greatly obliged. Need to be 'up by' for 2pm. PM me if ye fancy it.
  7. I don't buy them, for very different reasons as some will recall, but enjoy seeing their mistakes highlighted here for a wee moan. It is surprising to see the same basic mistakes over and over and over again though, surely one day we can expect better.
  8. Oh fuck aye, I'd be a blithering wreck by noo
  9. No apology necessary, my entrepreneurial side came to the fore later when I couldn't get back into employment after a while out of work Anyways in that situation now there's no way I could justify going to games, different times though but I'd be well pissed off at missing out due to cost. Away games are a no-no even though I'm doing okay these days, that says much about pricing (or the amount of drink I like to consume on your average awayday, one of the two)
  10. Naw ah wis on ma erse thanks tae Maggie fuckin' Thatcher but fitba' and travel were cheap enough that I could still get tae games. That's the comparison, guaranteed it widnae happen today although granted ah wis still at my parents hoose then but even so.
  11. The odd mistake is acceptable, shit happens but in this case these same mistakes have been happening for decades, that isn't acceptable. Agree or disagree? I know a few journos as well and they know my views on their profession, arseholes making those kind of easily rectified mistakes bring their names into disrepute, and by the same token probably yours Scott. I can accept trying to make excuses for the hard workers and genuine guys but this type of thing has been going on so long personally I'd be embarrassed to make any kind of excuse for those still guilty of such rubbish.
  12. See that argument might hold if it was just a recent thing but it's been happening for decades so it's not because of cutbacks, it's because they're lazy hacks who don't give two fucks about the accuracy where diddy clubs are concerned cos there's not enough of us to moan about it for them to worry about their job through it.
  13. And most of us would have cheered them onto that no question. Lambert wasted it signing for the Rattlers but hey ho. Wisnae shite though so aye agreed.
  14. I remember long ago I could afford to go to home and away games whilst on the Burroo, betye no' many could dae that noo?
  15. Unless he was driving delboy's motor (was it you with ridiculously low fuel cost estimates for Llanelli? Apologies if not.) which runs on watter just about

How many times? Terrible this. RIP young man.
  17. Compare that to Richard Brittain's quote after a shite 0-0 draw in Ross County's game, dunno if it was in the same paper, along the lines of "We're not here to entertain, we're here to get results" I know who I'd rather watch every week.

    Spl Highlights

Is it a law though? I understood refs interpretations had more to do with it. I don't know the actual wording so if someone cna provide that we can see if the ref has any leeway at all or if he's just being a jobsworth. Sent off would have been very harsh on Jamie, no such law on that one I'm sure. Suppose I better agree with your last point so you don't think I'm getting at ye

    Spl Highlights

The rule was brought in to stop players antagonising opposing fans which is fair enough but the killjoys somehow managed to hijack it and it seems players can't celebrate at all now. Some refs need to grow a set and tell their superiors how it is on the ground, stopping folk from enjoying themselves is not supposed to be their remit.

For a moment I thought you were going to ask if this is the end for him cos he wasn't playing
  21. Aye 45's the cut-off point I'd imagine
  22. So every time one of the older yins is subbed or left oot it's the end is it? FFS manager made a call, got it right, nae need tae look further intae it.
  23. Fairly obvious Ruddy slipped when he came out for that one eh. (sorry I messed up the quotey bit there)
