  1. Whits it tae you? You'll be blotto afore ye get to the airport at this end PS : Is that a photie o' Haggis they're hauding up?
  2. Remember it now, Sosban Fach She stopped short of singing the song mind you.
  3. I got the story of the saucepan from the wifie in the Scarlets club shop but can't mind the details. It's kind of their mascot and sits on the centre spot before every game. They even sell saucepan badges (I got one for proof), hopefully one of the locals will see this and tell us the full story.
  4. The very one, left it there Thursday morning to oversee the travellers, kind of good luck symbol if you like. Left one up at Stebo as well, when I left it was still sitting under their telly behind the bar.

    Albania

Bit of journalistic licence there It's not that it's considered especially good, just that it gets ye oot yir nut in double quick time
  6. Funny that, I was in the Southmead with the family and only saw 2 other Well fans at breakfast on Thursday morning. Was my wee mascot guy still perched on a ledge overlooking the breakfast room?
  7. And permission from the club to film from their gantry obviously? Feasible?
  8. Stattistically it's hard to argue with that, but I reckon the team that took us there (Roger Hynd being the main culprit before Ally MacLeod took over the sinking ship) would qualify as MacLeod cleared the decks and brought in 'da yoof' who had some potential but needed time.
  9. Years of indifference by our board mate, take the money no matter who's paying. Took us year to get a decent level of segregation so we could enjoy the game in relative safety, one of the reasons why I was so against giving up the Cooper. Motherwell fans stayed away from OF games in droves rather than run the gauntlet of their fans, when we got proper segregation they attended and filled whatever section we had.

Katowice was £300 in 1991, remember you'll need to pay for Flow's seat
  11. Aaah, that game, I liked that game.
  12. If the Jaxx logo falls off is anyone tempted to just leave it like that?
  13. He's not there to pass, he's there to put away the chances created by his team-mates. Just so happens we didn't create anything last night.
  14. I see Queens Park gubbing us 3-1 mentioned earlier but they also beat us 4-1 in the Scottish Cup in 1978 I think, and the fact we were a Premier League club beaten by Amateurs is surely worse than last night, no? At least Llanelli are semi-pro.
  15. Which forward do you have in mind that would score 2 or 3 goals from just 1 pass though?
  16. You kidding, Andrew Flintoff was late for the England cricket team bus the other day, top news that.
  17. Woah, much as I agree JB's been improving of late starting with McGhee's appointment, let's not forget we're still losing money for his mistakes. As in we're playing our first European matches at an away ground because we took a 'calculated gamble' that we wouldn't get caught out over the undersoil heating. If that had been sorted when it should have we could be saving a right few quid by avoiding paying rent to Airdire and reaping the rewards from the 1,000 or so who won't travel on Thursday. Big improvements yes, but no need for a jizz fest just yet. A lot more improvements due before he starts actually getting the big plaudits. But he's going in the right direction I'll give him that, long may it continue. PS I still don't agree with him paying part of players wages no matter how important they're deemed to be.
  18. If we don't think Gannon will get some of the transfer money to improve our squad then how the Hell can he be expected to put a team out? Come on guys, it's no rocket science. No way can he be denied funds in our current position.

    Jim Gannon

I can see the irony in you asking that question, nobody else?
  20. If this is true I think Gannon is probably the one I'd prefer out of that short list. Never impressed by 'names' and Sanchez, Staunton and Boothroyd were just that to me, guys our fans had heard of. Never convinced by any of them that they'd be suitable for our job but yer man Gannon seems to have the right credentials. Fingers crossed JB has pulled another rabbit out his top hat. And if that wee story is true he's a legend already
  21. I asked a Welshman so I think I'll go with his pronunciation. As a wee test can you pronounce Gwaun Miskin? If not we're going with my version
  22. That wis one of his best yins tae
