  1. Think we're all getting a bitty heated over not much, there has been no invasion last couple of years and the interest level in the final game this year is lower than those. Anyone attempting an invasion will be in a real minority and look complete fools so unlikely it will happen.

  7. Not done any Trust games but he's worked his way up the ladder steadily, handled a Junior Cup Final in recent years and did a few games at The Ark involving the Old Crocks IIRC.
  8. Ach we waited 39 years for that yin, 18 years is nothing

  12. Personally I'm not fussed either way if I'm honest but that sums up Europe my friend, why else would anyone want to travel 4 or 5 hours for an away game when most can't be bothered with trips to Inverness or Aberdeen. The lure of somewhere new to get pished is for me the only attraction of Europe, not like we're going to win it is it?
  13. Always have, Jimbob did a grand job filling in for us but a proper left back is always a better option as opposed to a stop gap.
  14. There's a challenge for CCC headbods

Exactly, the season ends 5 games early for too many folk now, we created the post season friendly the minute we signed up to this daft notion. It's inherently unfair given the problems trying to please everyone with an equal round of fixtures, too complicated for it's own good. Simple league format everyone knows where they stand, and you can organise your poty dance/trip to your 2nd team down South/mates trip up here in plenty time to take advantage of cheap train fares (delete as necessary) well in advance.

Being a keen kit watcher I can say Xara released a template across the board and many of their clubs sported it but we didn't take on anyone's hand me downs. Only seems to be Diadora and Canterbury who try to pass off old templates as new that I've noticed. That said ours might not be exactly Pompey's old template, only saying it looks that way from what I've seen of the snippets

No you don't get me, what I expect is Canterbury (indeed any half decent kit supplier) to produce new designs for their stable of clubs at the start of a new season. Doesn't have to be exclusive to that club. Last year's designs should remain just so. Is that not reasonable? Anyways am wi' you, bring back the Hoop and all will be Well

We shall see then but the snippets suggest the other way round to me. Oh the suspense

Nah I'm wi' pretzel, bit disappointed if I'm right. Not that our strip isn't exclusive but because Pompey have been wearing it for a full season already, templates should be thrown out after the first seasons run IMO. What are designers paid for if they only make up a couple of designs every couple of years? That said I agree it would be a good looking kit if that's how it turns out with our unique 'hoop' design and colourway. Xara's designs may not have been exclusive to us but they didn't rehash old designs and pass them off as new. As I said before though they've rehashed Pompeys design from 2 seasons ago for PNE's new kit so it could be worse. And Scotland's current kit design was first sported by Roma 3 or 4 years ago IIRC.
  24. Posted in another thread about Linfield's goalie Allan Mannus, don't know how much truth in it but he's apparently on our radar.
