    Happy New Year

Hey that's a collectors item that A' the best folks, here's to a guid year for all Dossers of men.
  2. FWIW I'm sick of the way fans have been conditioned into just accepting what they're told. We had zero consultation when seats were brought in but common sense has meant little enforcement of the standing rule. What changed recently to make this #1 priority needs looked at cos the previous implementation really didn't need changed. There are times when fans need to be allowed to act like fans, that means to me, singing, chanting, carrying on, having a laugh, getting behind their team. Not necessarily the way I behave at games now but certainly younger elements should be allowed to enjoy their day out in a manner befitting fitba fans. Sitting on yir hauns for 90 minutes is not what I expect to be enforced by the proper authorities, they're not causing trouble yet are being criminalised for doing what should be treated as a matter of course for supporters.

    Jim O'brien

From the Setanta highlights I saw two being cleared by defenders in the middle of the box so where do they fit in?
  4. What bus? The allocation was for the entire Association, not just one bus. BTW yon Brazilian knows his stuff eh?
  5. That's the gamble, either join an official body or risk missing out when events like this occur. Always been the case, we just haven't had the requirement for a while. All those who travel independently might like to suggest a way the club can register them if they prefer to stay independent. Forget individual stories, there are limited avenues open for ticket distribution to our fan base, our traveling fans number very few usually but without a registration process what chance do the club have of knowing about everyone who deserves to be further up the list by virtue of folowing the team away?
  6. Always exceptions unfortunately but doesn't take away form the fact the Association are an official body therefore are in a position to request tickets and state their case. Any other avenue for a fairer distribution can surely be looked at but seems to be no matter how it's done someone will complain.
  7. Can't argue the Association deserve their allocation before many others. No ideal way to distribute them but among the Association members are people who rarely miss a game and they deserve a brief IMO before myself for example, season ticket holder but don't travel much these days. I didn't even try for a ticket cos I wouldn't deserve one before someone who travels regularly, hopefully everyone who wanted one got one.
  8. Think that's a whooosh! moment there Unless of course I've misunderstood and mon_da_well is turning into a whinger for the sake of it. Dont think so mind.
  9. There is no such thing with our monstrosity of a South Stand
  10. Most of us were lucky if we could stand by my recollections
  11. Christmas post deadline is fast approaching so anyone looking for a copy for Chrimbo needs to act fast. Listed a new batch this morning on ebay Things Change And the bargain bundle is also listed All 5
  12. No it doesn't, I'm no more likely to fall over when standing than block someones view from the back row. It's a guide, we can dispute findings.

    Attendance

Have to say I agree with those who say the only way Boyle will listen is to hurt the pocket. UNless someone can come up with another way of getting through to the idiot that is the only way. I can't bring myself to stop going so I'm just going to have to print my criticisms of him in even bigger print in OSB but fair play to anyone who feels strongly enough to actually give up their season ticket. No criticism from me, I already know plenty fans who have taken this route and it can't have been an easy decision. Boyle has caused this, no deflecting blame required.
  14. Take the meeting guys but I would take along some of the senior fans, get the Trust involved maybe as I do not trust anyone at that club. There is an element of allowing fans to behave like fans, insisting on a blanket standing ban is not a good starting point, neither is insisting H&S guidelines are in fact rules. They're not and our clubs interpretation of these guidelines has caused a lot of friction
  15. They tried to force some of those other sections to sit, they got told where to go in no uncertain terms. So now they pick on the youngest group, easy target and all that. Leave the kids alone I say, God forbid the only noise we get to listen to at games are those grumpy baistards who do nothing but complain, many of them active in this thread.

    'Dear Supporter'

Followed the same pattern as our renewals letter which I'm still waiting on. My nephew started going to games last year with a half season ticket at Chrimbo, he got his letters both times but all 3 long standing ticket holders at No.9 never. Kind of tells a familiar story that.
  17. If the authorities had consulted fans before forcing us into all seated stadia then I might have some sympathy when fans challenge those charged with carrying out orders from on high. As it is fuck 'em, go Well Boys.
  18. Yes. going well but unlikely they'll sell out, I can take orders for the ICT game but as Neil knows, best to constantly remind me in the lead up to the game.
  19. A truly fitting tribute
  20. No problem Dee just give us a shout whenever.

    Staying Power

Still amazes me that 'Support your local club' and 'punching above your weight' are dismissed as negative. That's what we are and that's what we do and have been doing for decades.
  22. Cheers, it shall be sorted.
  23. Did you tell/warn them Yir photie's in it?
  24. Yep the deal for all 5 books still applies. £30 and I ship them free in the UK. Otherwise the old ones are reduced to a fiver each.
  25. Thanks to a combination of John Boy & Jack Frost I missed out on probably my only sales opportunity at the ground on Saturday therefore I'm looking to maximise/break even on ebay sales. I will be selling OSB on Monday night but midweek games are traditionally bad for business, TV games even more so, combine the two and I'm looking at a major loss so if you can't make the game on Monday I've listed OSB Issue 85 on the bay Similarly I was counting on a Saturday home game to move some books but that was kyboshed as well so there's a load listed here as well If ever a book was more aptly named eh? For all you old WTFC'ers there's a free copy of OSB with every book purchased, either identify yourself when you buy or contact me by PM to arrange purchase. I can take some to the Cooper on Monday unless the club decide at short notice to keep it for a private functiion again. After all the delays in bringing this book out I suppose I should have expected another problem, reckon this one was jinxed from the off. Still, here now, thanks to all who have supported this and hope you enjoy this final chapter. Mj
