Exactly so if it had been left alone there wouldn't be so much of a problem. Wrong move on this occasion I have to say.

So no-one else has this email then?

That single game brought it home that we would never win the league, I kinda gave up hoping after throwing it away like that. Best chance ever. As Milo says, the crowd didn't really believe it IMO either, I certainly did, had been telling folk for months prior to that but there was a sense of disbelief among our own fans all the way through. Perhaps that filtered through to the players eventually but it was certainly within our grasp and we chucked it away. Supporting Motherwell changed for me at the end of that season. You know that feeling after a bad result when you wince when you wake up next morning, that was the last time I really felt that until Odense I think. We fucked that up badly as well but that was more to do with the magnitude of the financial potential we had just thrown away rather than the significance of the achievement we missed out on.

Motherwell 1 Dundee Utd 2, 3 games to end of season 1993-94, Hibs beating Rangers and we could have drawn level at the top of the table with 2 games left. Reckon they'd have shit themselves.

Standard practice for season ticket holders to use a special voucher therefore the match abandoned vouchers aren't required, so many would just have walked on by when the stewards were dishing them out. Nonsense to force ST holders to now go out of their way to get another voucher against the instructions of the stewards at the time. Rethink required on this one I have to say.

Las thing we need is someone with more money than sense coming in, happened before and look where it took us. Quite happy to sail along as we're going, throwing money at it never got us to where we currently sit, financial prudence did, and if that measn we don't get a shiny new soulless lego build then so be it. Quite happy to sit/stand in the 'rivers of pish' we've been subjected to for the last few decades.

IMO we are fucked cos our chance has gone with the collapse of the economy. That said I'm not fussed as I love Fir Park and would hate to move to a soulless breeze block flat pack monstrosity on a windswept wasteland. Cos that is precisely what we'll get if we ever have to move. If there is any chance of staying at Fir Park that is my preferred option 100 times out of 99 so we should find a way to do that. Can't see us getting anywhere near the kind of money required to build anew. And that suits me just fine.

But isn't that where it becomes a forum, like this one? And I have no desire to regulate a forum. I think first things first we'll do the FB page and see where that takes us, too much discussion would actually be a turn off personally as there's not enough hours in the day at the moment as it is.

Being fairly new to Facebook I didn't consider it an option until lately if I'm honest. Wasn't convinced it would bring too much benefit but the way things are going it's worth a shout obviously. See how it goes

Fair do's guys. Much rather you give poor feedback than none at all, least you bothered.MInd you we only started in 1994 so obviously it wasn't OSB Kirky read. Madscot, all my work afraid to say which leads onto another decline, the number of contributors has slowly slipped. Trying to keep on filling pages with stuff off the top of my own head time after time maybe another factor. I'm conscious that personally I'm covering the same old topics time after time from my perspective, we obviously need new blood to keep things fresh but again the well is drying up through factors like social media giving folk their instant outlet. Time for me personally to bow out perhaps and hand over to a younger bod, if there is a younger bod out there willing to take it on. Much discussions to come, thanks for your time everyone.

No connection that I remember although perhaps Yir Elder contributed to that first.

Be okay if I didn't let it build up to another last minute mad rush

Pretty much all of that rings true, apart from the Club bits obviously Never has and never will make money but we've always managed to meet the printers bill at least. Just seems to be a noticeable decline in sales of both zines over recent seasons. As Brainier says issue 100 is on the horizon so I'm at least aiming for that milestone before making any decision. Until then feel free to make your feelings known to the sellers on Saturday. And anywhere else you deem appropriate.

Issue 96 is out on Saturday before the Utd game, sellers will be at their usual spots from 2pm til kick off and a wee bitty afterwards. I'm looking for some feedback before we get there though. You may have noticed GLF hasn't appeared yet this season, and to be honest the sales have slumped with us as well to a point where we are barely covering the printers bill. I know we're in the middle of a recession and that has to have an effect on all walks of life. Fanzines are also suffering through social media offering immediate outlets for fans views but to me still have their place. I see many walk on by these days without so much as a glance who used to stop and buy. Everyone has the right to choose obviously but I'm curious as to what turns folk off buying the zine. What I want to know is if you're one of those who has stopped buying a fanzine, is it because the standard is dropping? Or financial reasons? Any other reasons? Feel free to slag us here but obviously I'd prefer confidential constructive discussions to evaluate where we go from here. If the interest has waned to such an extent it actually costs money to bring an issue out then we will know where we stand at least so all opinions welcome. Mj

They were always going to lift their game against us as opposed to others in the league considering our lofty position.

Would we not get fined for that?
