They always were cringeworthy but taking it to new heights now. :wank: This is a game we should all be targetting to attend for 90 minutes of absolute entertainment off the field and hopefully on it as well. If they do win then it's with a team full of guys earning more individually than half our team combined so no shame on us, all the shame lies with the fuckwits who condone cheating and are still in denial about the events during the summer which saw their club die. I've seen first hand how this doesn't work cos teachers are unwilling to give up their free saturday to supervise the kids. To my mind it has to be worked in with parents bringing the kids, I ended up with 24 tickets to dispose of one time cos the head couldn't get any staff to attend the game, which still meant 24 kids got to see the game but it would be 24 kids who would normally be going probably which isn't exactly the point of the exercise.

Am off to London the day of the first leg so missing it, blew my tank on Athens so not making 2nd leg either. This is very likely the one we'll succeed in knowing my luck

I remember that game and felt the same, think we lost 2-1 though but my feeling was most fans didn't believe we could actually win the league, even though it was obviously very possible if you consider we didn't win any of our last 3 games but only fell short by 5 points. Best chance ever that season and partly responsible for my'realistic' approach since, always hope but expect nothing so I'm not disappointed.

Not long back fae our wee jaunt, smashing holiday, nice quiet place, thought Athens was okay apart from the overwhelming heat and can't do much about that. Poor communication re the buses, we went to Pana's old stadium at 6.30 as instructed and no buses, got the metro and no problems as I suspected. Afterwards left to our own devices once utside the gates, could have been doing with some info there. Got told Metro closed at midnight, I read here that wasn't the case. Out at the resort folk couldn't be more helpful, in the big city getting accurate info was like pulling teeth. I said to a Pana guy "Do you speak English?" and he growled "No, I am Greek" in perfect English

Hot off the plane from Athens and a delayed drive home from Manchester this evening, your intrepid OSB roving editor has just enough time to sort the bags out for the sellers to take their usual places for tomorrow’s game (with thanks to Karen for sorting the bags whilst I dealt with 260-odd emails upon return. Actually haud on, by the time I finished typing it was up to 488 and only 20 of them were relevant)The Rangers debacle obviously dominates matters this issue, everyone wants their say on the subject and that’s what we’re here for after all. A new stadium with the same amount of turnstiles would pose a similar problem, all about management of the situation, nothing to do with the stadium.

Aye I left them a message advising that an early opening might be beneficial, and they replied saying "I'm on it", good enough for me. OH and their colour scheme on the website is top notch.
