Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco

At last some one takes 5 minutes to look beyond the bluff and bluster. We've been saying the same thing for years among ourselves, educated people still can't see in front of their own noses -

The sale of James McFadden was used in part to pay a higher percentage to our creditors, payments from Everton were put straight into the pot as they came in and dividends paid out accordingly. Sale of players should be considered part of the pot, no wonder Craig Whyte fought so hard to appoint his preferred administrators. Bryan Jackson would have this lot sorted already. Strikes me they have a good bit of explaining to do to their professional body cos this is all very suspect. -

MY understanding re the big tax case is that it has still to come to a head, I may be wrong but I hope not. The CVA only takes care of the current monies owed, there has been no decision about whether they actually do owe that sum to HMRC or not therefore it can hardly be included in the pot unless it has been decided that they have deliberately held a certain sum of money back and that sum has been accurately worked out. Steelboy may be right, it may have been reported and I've missed it, then again it may have been one of their simpering hacks looking for some more made up good news. -

The big tax case isn't even dealt with yet, how can it be included in the CVA?I've missed something here -

That's only dealing with the administration, there's the big tax case and the blatant cheating through EBT's to contend with after that. -

Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco

Much as I want the club I love to survive and prosper at all levels, the cheating has to be punished. I'm not one for advocating punishment for the sake of it but at this level it cannot be overlooked. We will lose out one way or another. I would much rather lose out from the hefty punihsment meted out to Rangers than see our own fans walk away should they be treated leniently. We can rebuild with our fans behind us and everyone pulling in the same direction, allowing cheats to prosper may save a few bob short term but what comes then? Crowds dwindle to nothing but hey it's okay we have 2% of the TV money for another year. Who needs fans anyway? Personally I would quite happily see scaling back if it means we are no longer reliant on Old Firm income, live within our means and we'll be fine. -
Thoought so, what chance is there of keeping up with this when inaccurate reports like that are bandied about. Rangers fans still actually think they're being harshly treated.

Was it actually? I don't remember reading that.

In the case of the Well Society we got there in the end but we needed guarantees to see if it would become workable, if evryone chose to sit tight and see what happens then it might force the whole thing off the agenda. We are gambling with the future of our club way I see it, whereas I would rather guarantee our future first and then deal with whatever happens in the big fiasco that is now unfolding. Totally understand other trains of thought on this but whatever happens I still want MFC to have a future, and for us to have a say in that future the Well Society is the last thing we should be pulling out of. Fight them from within I say and with this initiative we have the perfect chance to do something about it, but we won't achieve anything by withdrawing from it. -

And how would you feel if the club then went and voted NO in the manner it seems most fans would want them to? Kinda jumping the gun by assuming how the vote would go, is it not? I wouldn't be in the least surprised whatever way the vote went, probably more so if the majority voted NO mind you but sporting integrity does not exist at this level anyway therefore I would fully expect clubs to look after finances first and put our thoughts way down the pecking order. This would be the final straw for many, understandably so but to me it would just be another in the long line of diabolical decisions to put self interest first, albeit on a totally different scale from before. I do ask myself why I keep going back, and I can't answer, it's just what I do and probably will even if this goes the way I fully expect it to. But it would certainly prove to many from outwith the game what we've been saying for years, that Scottish fitba' is corrupt from top to bottom. Maybe this time the proper authorities might prove themselves fit to run the game. That would be a first. -

Oh yes, I like the sound of that, unfortunately young up and coming journos have probably already been influenced these tired old hacks into keeping the old ways chuntering along. We can but hope though. -

You could be right but reading some of the comments from yon Channel 4 guy about local hacks warning him off and even threatening him makes me think agenda is about right. I believe they are as complicit as Murray and Whyte and everyone else in office who turned a blind eye to these shenanigans just cos it was The Rainjurs. -
Must be the early equivalent of the Bois then? Am in that pic wi' Matt C, the guy who caused my Matt J moniker to be invented cos our mates were fed up wi' both of us replying whenever someone shouted our name. Sadly he wis a Shellic fan who couldn't be converted, mainly due to picking glass out his hair all the way home after the game. "That disnae happen wi' ra Shellic" he moaned

Proof of their hidden agenda I'd say, surely a 'respected journalist' couldn't be so far away from being remotely accurate in their investigations? -
You mebbes like the wee T-shirt proposal over on the deals n steals section, don't know how much traffic goes through that so thought I'd give it a wee bump here as well. http://www.steelmenonline.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=12826

From my thinking they would only attempt this if the SFA failed to uphold the punishment leveid on Rangers, not for failing to control a member club. -
That was the intention

If we can keep those mentioned and not forced to sell then I'd be happy enough at this stage. Depth of squad can be addressed as get nearer the Champions League but to me top prioirty had to keeping as many as possible of the squad who did so well to get us where we are now. Once that's done we have to be wary of late bids for sellable players obviously but can move on to finding players to fill the gaps we have.
