  1. Bizarrely I'm a fan of the quartered shirt which used to be common in rugby, a C&A hooped shirt would also tick many boxes, again common in rugby
  2. Ideally aye, but then you'd need to educate the rest of the stand to get off their erses and join in. Just take the fuckin seats oot.

All I'll say is "They started it..............again"
  4. Nothing's being created now cos no-one has any good new ideas. Therefore retro is in cos all the designers have lost their way. 90s retro will never catch on for the same reason, Humming Hummel the perfect example. The 70s kits aren't just retro to me, they are classic designs which still look good today therefore are still worthy of being reproduced, Hummel's didn't even look good at the time. I'd agree that now and again we should leave the band/hoop off the kit for a change but am wary because I remember the mid-70s when we lost it for ages to the extent some fans even questioned whetther it could be called traditional cos it was gone for so long. For the record I am also a big fan of the Sash Wullie P wore, and the plain jersey Joe Wark wore when I first remember seeing him in 1970
  5. But if they stood in the middle folk widnae be long in complaining they couldnae see so the end section is the right place. Well done lads and good to see no heavy handed stewarding trying to put a dampener on things.
  6. Only when this members club thing is finalised

Some do though as you've pointed out in previous threads where a wee bit of rewriting history has gone on with regards to he who shouldn't be named.
  8. So as HC says, not meaningless, just because it means nothing to you doesn't mean a thing. Early 90s retro hasn't even been invented yet. Need to wait another decade for that I'd imagine. In fact was anything created then that might be worth calling retro in the future?

Would have thought that was Gannon's utopia, Craggs was dropped because he wouldn't do what you've just said was he not? Took a while but the boys getting there.
  10. So because his mistakes didn't affect the outcome he was in your opinion okay? He was fucking honking and trousered a Grand for being utter utter shite at his job. He will influence outcomes of matches during the season with performances like that so he should be demoted to the lesser ranks mow where they only get a few hundred a game for being consistently dreadful at what they are extremely well paid to do.
  11. We won't cos there's too many old fuddy duddies, old before their time, boring old farts etc etc but keep on doing what you're doing lads. We need someone making a difference so shut your ears and open them there lungs for the Mighty Dossers, hopefully you get more support than previously.
  12. Bumpity bump for tomorrow folks
  13. Tell ye what, why don't we all shut the fuck up about it until the club release concrete details, then we can have an 'informed' debate about it. Oh no it's a message board where fans can talk shite for days on end. Leave the kids alone, they're happy.
  14. Surely all they need to do is say no.
  15. "Wish You Were Here!" shouts the cover headline but how many wish we were somewhere else right now. It's still holiday time for many but the serious action gets underway this week, like it or not. There's something not quite right about having to rush through the first OSB of the season inbetween packing bags to go away but that's exactly what happened at the start of July. The ramifications of the early start to the SPL season certainly hit home with the realisation there were just 3 days to collate everything to get it to the printer before the train taking us off on our family hols left the station. Upon our return there was the box waiting for distribution, unfortunately too late for the Leeds game but plenty for the dropping off to the shops and sending off to the mailing list type thing. So you lot buying it on Saturday are a little bit behind the times. Neve fear though, there are no free gifts in the form of chocolates which are going to melt on you or go past their sell by date, just a good old fashioned moany faced, tub thumping, have a pop at anyone you like fanziney type........erm, fanzine. Basically your normal bog standard, favourite bog read, One Step Beyond. Big Pie deserves a mention in the blurb cos his contribution arrived after I'd printed off the credits, caught me out he did. Cue hurried changing of the running order before posting but as we always seem to do, we got there in the end and your usual 40 pages of guff will be on sale, still at the pegged price of £1, outside the Fir Park Club, Cooper Stand & East Stand turnstiles from 2pm. We did consider a price rise but once again decided to buck the trend, hopefully we reap the rewards of that with a surge of interest towards the cheapest publication you'll find this weekend anywhere near Fir Park. Enjoy Mj
  16. Watching Dispatches tonight should prove to any doubters this is they correct way to go, I look forward to hearing the proposals no matter how long they take to finalise it. Taking away the possibility of some shyster buying us over for his own benefits is a good enough reason to get fully behind it.
  17. Too late, you've lost all credibility with the original post, anything left is gone cos you've now gone and made an erse of spelling M-U-R-P-H-Y
  18. Actually it was, said elsewhere the original plan was to wear it on the closest date to our anniversary but split fixtures fucked that up I think.
  19. You might get more sympathy if you used the proper term. It's S-H-I-T-E, not shit!
  20. Or you can buy the real ones here for a tenner. mfc white shorts
  21. Definitely a generation thing, sponsors on strips totally ruins them from my older viewpoint, yeterdays kit was just about the exact kit we were wearing when my Dad first started taking me to Fir Park so it has personal feeling attached to it. That and the simple uncluttered look of it, it's just a Motherwell football strip, that is all, not a walking advert for other companies.
  22. Pretty sure the original intention was to have the team wear it on the date closest to oour anniversary but that didn't work out. Glad to the idea wasn't just binned, looking forward to seeing this.
