  1. "Up to our knees in f****n blood", Hmmmm f****n is a political term is it not? Again the Celtic PR machine has labelled the term as derogatory to Catholics whereas Fenianism is also political. Splitting hairs of course but so is claiming songs about the IRA are not sectarian. Let them argue the finer points, they are both the same when it comes down to it.
  2. If casagolda gets a game wi' the Button am coming oot o' retirement
  3. That's true, why waste everyone's fun then. James McFadden loan deal to the thread please. Heard it from my pubspotting contact fae Doncaster who was in a Rattler pub on the day of the Final and bumped into James' Da' in the toilets. At least he said he was James' Da'
  4. Don't go tae Livingston, I tried that 'saving for the Final thing' the day of the Hearts game and emerged £120 light
  5. 14 is a step in the right direction but a return to 18 is always my preferred option, with all monies spread equally throughout the game never mind the top league. This elitist pish has brought about a massive reduction in the attractiveness of our game and the Old Firm have changed every rule possible to enable them to hoover up the maximum of the cash available. That has to change and all chairmen need to stand up to them. They can't move anywhere, no-one wants them, so they are in a far worse bargaining position than ever if the rest of us stick together, which of course won't happen cos Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen for certain see themselves as more of a partner to them than they do to the smaller teams. This has to be an entire Scottish football proposal as opposed to what's in it for us.
  6. Sure I read Murphy wasn't interested in Palace, although I don't believe what I read in the papers. If it happens then I believe it.
  7. No, anyone who hasn't went for McGhee has allowed for the fact the good fitba' stopped after 6 months and his constant touting for other jobs.
  8. Had long arms, too long for his body in fact. Looked funny when he ran.
  9. And back on topic, Shellic fans never started anything, they've nicked other folks work all their existence and claimed it as their own. Sure it's a grand old team to play for You'll never walk alone The bouncy/Poznan/Huddle Bringing poofy 1980's pop songs into the fitba' arena They werenae even the original Irish club, Hibs beat them tae that.
  10. Ach fuck it, OSB isnae out til August
  11. Whilst not exactly lucrative I'd have been offering Sutton a deal way back but as has been posted Broon wis an auld diddy who didnae recognise Sutty's true worth to the team. His comments don't add up considering McCall was quoted weeks ago as saying we'd put our best offer on the table so I won't be hard on the club about it but he should have been offered a new deal even before he rattled in those 2 goals against Celtic. After that, what with it being on live telly, he immediately drew attention and kept on scoring so we were well fucked even at that stage IMO. But we'll survive, we'll just sign somebody else as we have done numerous times in the past.
  12. 'tis indeed, MJC I doff my cap, couldnae put it any better. Mind if I nick that, deserves a wider audience.
  13. When we can pay £4, 5 or even 6 Grand a week wages to players without spending way over our income level then we might stop using the term 'punching above our weight' when we finish above teams who can. Until then I'm quite happy for us to continue to punch above our weight and show up our far wealthier opponents.
  14. Cannae wait, remember the matchstick drawings of Tommy Coyne M'Lord from years ago? Classics.
  15. That was never in doubt although I did enjoy 'outing' him in OSB at the time.
  16. Speaking as an ed, I'd agree. Get that spelling fixed else I'd need to do my job properly and actually edit something.
  17. Did he mention his own experience at all? Seem to remember his favourite player being John Grieg 'obviously'
  18. BUt ye'll never have a tache like Shuggie Sproat. Or yer Bro for that matter.
  19. More to do with saying what will endear him to his new support though. Seem to recall Andy Devlin being introduced to the Rangers support when he got a job with the Rangers News through a programme article where the editor filled in the blanks to make out he was one of them. Never any question Andy's a Well fan but they seem to believe you have to be seen to be one of them to be accepted.
  20. I kicked his erse in Starka last time I saw him and he didnae lamp me back so he's cool.
  21. More than welcome sir, the pages therein are for all Motherwell fans to spout their pish Last season was a bit of a bummer for selling dates from the moving of the first game through to the ongoing lack of 3pm Saturday games but I'm hoping for a kinder opening to the season so we cna get an issue out early on. As weeyin says I usually post on when the deadline is approaching but feel free to work on something if it's in your head just now and email it through. I'll PM you my contact details.
