  1. Recall a Darlington fan I know sending me his fanzine, inside were the bus times for all their away games that season (they don't need to worry about games being moved to suit TV), very rarely did they leave after 9am and that usually just local derby games. We're kinda spoiled by our geography in that most games are easily accessible within an hour or so. Disnae make it right though, 12 noon kick offs go against the laws of nature.
  2. You do realise you've just confirmed the thoughts of many on here by signing that SD
  3. Won't even get watching this one on TV, kick-off time that bad that I won't be back from the boys game until maybe half-time. What a load of shite.
  4. Sure I read Gunning or Saunders game would be on the Thursday, surely not?
  5. Hearing Saunders and Gunning have received call-ups as well, is it not the case that with 3 or more players called up we get automatic postponement?
  6. Best overhead kick ever was Boab Malcolm's when he hit himself in the face wi' the ball. Dangerous right enough
  7. That's beside the point and fairly common knowledge Technically yes it's a foul but who's going to award it in those circumstances.
  8. Cup should take priority but I think the problem is we agreed to this date prior to the first game, major fuck up if that's the case cos the first thing I thought of was "That's an International week"
  9. I got drunk for a week then every Saturday thereafter to celebrate each weekly anniversary
  10. So what is the rule then? Pretty sure having 2 or 3 important players on International duty is reason enough to cancel, foreign or not.
  11. Think the weans might drag me along to drive them wherever it gets played. If it's a Sunday I might stay in the hoose Nice of you to notice though
  12. 1 Saunders left his leg in for Goodwillie to fall over but he didn't touch him, cheating c**t dived. Should have been a booking. 2 Gunning was caught on the back of the leg so it's a foul. If he'd made more of it we might have been given it but sadly refs seem incapable of making their minds up unless the player exaggerates the foul. Too honest in rolling over then getting straight back up without claiming for it.
  13. Aye fair turnout up by, good few waiting for the karaoke later methinks.
  14. M&D's wis nearly getting ma custom until ah read this. Free pies (Chapmans tae) is an affy strong pull. Not to mention an early bevvy 'up by' Anywhere else open that time on a Sunday?
  15. Fuxake, getting beat aff St Johnstone at hame? That's a sacking offence that.
  16. I'm surprised that some are surprised that's just what we do and always have, even TomTom's great side of the mid-90s dropped something like 9 points to St Johnstone who were relegated that year, and IIRC the same to Partick Thistle who were shite as always.

You probably got a good education there cos it's a good school and that's all that should matter, religion belongs in church IMO, if folks want to practice then attend on Sundays or whenever the fancy takes. Leave schools to teach kids their necessary education. We have to do something about this now, argue all you want but separate schools has a major effect, no question about that. Parents always have the ultimate responsibility of course but splitting wee Johhny up from his best pal from nursery at the age of 5 cos he's a different religion only teaches the kids that they're different and fuels the fire in later years.
  18. Need to go back to work sometime to pay for the holibags/europe trip

    The Referee

Fuck even our own 'homers' go against us, what chance have we got? I reckon he probably goes against us as much so no-one can point the finger and accuse him of being a homer.
  21. We're suffering from our own recent success just now, we need a relegation to regroup and galvanise the support. 25 years in the top division is too long for a club our size, our fans now expect top 6 never mind survival. Anything less is greeted with derision whereas past generations could only dream of mid-table obscurity as something to aim for rather than dread. Sadly that relegation would bring with it financial armageddon so the likelihood is we'll die from apathy cos our fans expect too much rather than financial disaster cos there's no way we're going down.

Can someone explain how Mike Grella is now allowed to go out on loan to Swindon as reported on SSN today?
