Coming from so far away Dave you obviously don't get the thinking of those from the town itself. We're used to having our team play in our town, in fact there's a degree of pride in it, just a short walk up the road. If we move up the Craig all of a sudden it's a bus trip or train journey, no longer in our town, no longer our club, that could be the change required to piss a few off. To them it's like going to an away game and that will cost us fans IMO, fans from the town of Motherwell. That scenario will happen and the part highlighted, well I'm surprised to hear you saying that without thinking it through. Folk like my old man, 76 years old, lifelong fan and season ticket holder since the 70s. His club move outwith the town, miles away from the social club he's visited pre-match for all of that time. Needs to get a bus to home games, you not think the potential is there for him to say "Fuck it I'll just sit here and watch the racing" a very real possibility I'd say. Plenty fans go to home games only cos they're just up the road. It's not all cut and dried, there's more to think about than the obvious logistics/benefits.

Of course they won't like sharing it out, that's why the ludicrous decision was taken to keep all home gates in the first place not so many years ago. But share it out they should otherwise why should we play them?

If Motherwell were to merge they'd be dead to me anyway so makes no difference. Well just let them play each other all the time. If they want meaningful competition on the park they need to share the cash about. We'll give them half of our gate money for coming through to play us 'Up By' in return. Only fair

18 teams, play each other twice, once home, once away. Two up, two down. Simples, the way a league is supposed to be. OH and share the gate money, it takes 2 teams to play a game so why should only one club be paid for taking part whilst the other has wages to pay and travel costs to meet and no compensation?

Another reason why the new man's been brought in apparently, to source new funding or be cleverer with what we have. Simple answer though. Reduce wages if we can't afford it, no big deal.

That's the worry, far from attracting new fans by moving to a shiny new ground in a whole new town we could actually disenfranchise many current fans by having to travel further from the town centre to a shitey breeze block identikit shell. Long way off of course, I too believe we missed the boat when the college deal was going through but am happy wi' that. Long live 'Up By'

IIRC Motherwell collected £5,000 off John Boyle and left him to pursue the matter, he bought the debt when it started dragging out. Still no guarantees he's getting his dosh right enough but good wee earner for him.

Apparently it was Steelboys fault we won on Saturday so if we win this Saturday by not sitting back or by humpfing the ball long SD can claim the credit. Sounds fair

Sure I recall the league game being the first of the 3 games. Chat on the bus was which one would you rather win, resounding thumbs up for the Cup game until after we won then it changed to "Ach we'll just need tae beat them twice"
