  1. Robertson wis too wee tae be dirty so he just cheated
  2. Well it isnae. that's the 9th November
  3. Deja Vu if that happens, move an Old Firm right back to make do when a natural left back sits waiting on the call.
  4. My lads finally moved onto 11 a sides at the age of 11, 2 years after his coaches judged him to be ready to step up. Daft rules like forcing those of a certain age to stay with 7 a sides hold boys back as well. Done well in his first few games, played in a few different positions to give him a feel for the problems posed all over the pitch. There is no set pattern for success, has to be tailored to individuals and that's where good coaches come into it. If they see a boy ready to step up they promote him, not some stupid age rule.
  5. Absolutely, first class teacher, oh Magners scoffer.
  6. Damn, there was me harbouring high hopes of Saunders developing under the Auld Yins tutelage. Ach well if Mitch says so, it must be right. Sorry Steven, in the bin wi' ye!!!
  7. But he'd probably miss. Reynolds would usher her oot the back door out of harms way, there's the difference. Marky's a fitba'player, Kenneth never will be.
  8. Joe Wark was the best uncapped Scottish player...ever!!!!!! Old Firm right backs were moved around to fit them in rather than play the best left back in the country at that time. The more things change etc etc
  9. No that would be those of us in our 40s. Unfortunately
  10. And roll it out across the stands
  11. Agreed, just need to try weigh up the benefits I'm afraid. My situation is obviously exclusive to my family, others may not be so lucky of course.
  12. Save up. Seriously, I do it cos I'll be damned if I'm going to pay top whack for 4 of us at those prices when I can get us all a season ticket and see 20 games for the price of 10 or 12. I can't afford to pay that out every home game so the summer outlay is well planned. Not like I don't know what's coming.
  13. Never in a million years is he a clinical finisher. If he was he'd be far and away Europes top goalscorer with the chances we created in those early games alone. Humphreys crosses flashing across goal were meat and drink to a clinical finisher but he wasn't there cos he didn't read it. Got to take the gamble and get in that area. Hesitation over in Denmark in the 1st minute suggested otherwise also. With the confidence of the goals he had already scored I would expect a clinical finisher to bury chances like that without thinking. His best position is dropping deep and running at defences IMO so the hole behind 2 strikers would suit him best. Unfortunately that's a bit of a luxury position we can't afford. Jamie has a big future ahead and a cool head in front of goal may come with experience but he's certainly not there yet.
  14. Considering the money floating about the EPL £1 Million is the least we should be looking at. Good move for the lad if it comes off, we've already seen how many feel he's outstayed his welcome so for his sake it's time to go and continue his development. Future Scotland captain?
  15. Fixed that, no-one will ever convince me the split is a good idea. It's an aberration and reduces our fixtures to farce when folk can't even organise a trip to watch a game until 7 days before the game.
  16. I can complain all I want, not like anyone listens is it?

    Russell Rodger

Had my issues with him on a few topics but echo the sentiments that he was a nice fella and a true Dosser at heart. Thoughts to the family and his many friends.
  18. Gies peace, refs won't let us away with it the way they let other teams off. Stick with the moral upholtitude, only thing we have over some of the underlings we have to face. AT least we can hold our heads high.
  19. Brechin away, fuck that for using up the Cup voucher in my season book.
  20. Ach all the potential new grounds are out already. Can we start again at the beginning and draw Montrose away?
  21. Can't see the logic there, I'm of the opposite opinion. Gannon if anything restored my faith that we could continue and progress using our youth policy and I looked forward to going to games more as a result. Not going to go over old ground but his early tenure was as exciting as things have been for a long time. Granpa' is doing well as expected, Gannon left him a sound basis to work with and he's making the most of that and I hope he continues the progression as he's already done. The troubles at the end of Gannon's time have clouded what he actually achieved in a short space of time methinks.
