McManus didn't lose a defensive header all day. I thought he had a great game. Hutchy, too. Apart from his dodgy pass in the 2nd half, he had a great game. Vigurs needs to use his right foot more than once a game! Also needs to release the ball a bit quicker on some occasions - caught in possession too many times. However, showing more of what he's capable of. ZFA had a shocker - nothing was coming off for him and his confidence suffered as the game went on, as a result.
-
Unfortunately I'm at a family wedding in Coventry that very day!
-
Funny how watching the same game we see different things. While he had a few scary moments - short pass back, slicing the ball into the air, and 1 or 2 others I can't specifically recall - he was all over Boyd, beat him in the air every time, and never gave him a sniff of a chance. While not outstanding, it was far from a 'mare. Perhaps the nervy play is coming from having not yet built up a proper understanding with McManus and Hollis. As it stands, neither of them are oozing confidence in their own ability. It's getting there, though.

I think I'm right in saying that if we got any of those three I mentioned it would continue our run of never having played a European tie in the same country twice. Just had a look again - most of our pot would continue that trend.
-
Dila Gori and Differdange are lower ranked than us so we have half a chance of progressing if they make it through and Kuban Krasnodar are the lowest rank of the seeds...... but so were Nancy!
-
Not really. Besiktas were supposed to enter EL the round after us. The others were in CL.
-
Perhaps not affect us directly in terms of being seeded (we're too far down the non-seeds) but will change the list of our potential opponents as some of the teams with a higher co-efficient are being replaced by those with very low co-efficients. The three teams mentioned are in the Champions League, or enter the Europa League after us so won't really affect our draw.
-
Just seeing on Twitter that today's Europa League draw is becoming more complicated by last minute team changes due to some not obtaining their UEFA licences! CSKA Sofia replaced by Botev Plovdiv Borac Banja Luka replaced by Zrinjski Mostar PAS Gianina replaced by Skoda Xanthi Buducnost & Grbalj replaced by Rudar Pljevlja & Mladost Podgorica UEFA are also due to decide on whether Steaua Bucharest, Besiktas and Fenerbahce can participate in Europe some time after the draw. So it could affect our draw as well as today's, given some of the names/co-efficients in there.
-
Mind, even when the draw is made we'll still have a choice of 2! Just a bit of fun for us saddos. I've promised myself since the Nancy draw that I wouldn't be drawn in to it but can't help myself.
-
Just to put the cat amongst the pigeons I make the seeds in our pot: VfB Stuttgart Lech Poznan Trabzonspor Maccabi Haifa Rapid Wien DVSC Debrecen As ekwellfan says, it a guessing game. We both agree on Debrecen, who are the lowest ranked of all the seeds . But then, so were Nancy, back in the day, albeit a round further on. Perhaps UEFA will release details before the draw which will make it easier to predict our pot.
-
I took a guess at last year's draw based on previous years' setup but UEFA changed it to a completely random mix of seeds and non-seeds. And they didn't announce it until minutes before the draw. It's impossible to 2nd guess them these days.
-
Rapid Vienna added to this list now. We'll know about Spanish, German and Czech additions tomorrow.
-
Latest list of probable seeds for round 3 - still another half dozen to be confirmed: Rubin Kazan Standard Liege Udinese Club Brugge Hapoel Tel-Aviv AS Saint-Etienne Lech Poznan Trabzonspor AaB Aalborg Anorthosis Famagusta Rosenborg BK FC Zurich Swansea City MSK Zilina BursasporFC Utrecht Maccabi Haifa Metalurg Donetsk Levski Sofia Estoril Praia Omonia Nicosia Chernomorets Odesa

STV guy on Twitter SPL post-split fixtures have been put together, for those wondering. Published shortly once broadcasters have finalised live arrangements.
-
Here's a wee prediction of the fixtures from the SPLStats guy on twitter- http://splstats.wordpress.com/2013/04/06/post-split-fixtures-a-prediction/ Although, he appears to have used common sense in his thinking. Something we know the football authorities are not know for.

McPake raked his studs/knee (I didn't see it properly) down Higdon's back when they went up for a challenge. Higdon was raging and I take it McPake was casting aspersions on Higgy's weight during the altercations that followed.

A couple more tweets from stvgrant Clearly all SPL clubs bar Celtic believed taking a little more guaranteed cash was better for all than gambling on second spot. This answers vote question. RT @GordonWaddell:@STVGrant also the vote was technically 11-0 - Celtic abstained.

Also rumours of a sell on clause.
