  1. I'm sure I saw on Twitter it's to the last day of the transfer window
  2. In this day & age, of course it's all about the money. That's the nature of the game/business these days. The league allow for postponements of games because it's all about the money. So why don't they accommodate the clubs that need the money, rather than those that just want it?
  3. Under the thumb already, eh? Man up!
  4. Seriously, though, are you actually the lovechild of Milo and MJC?
  5. I'm not entirely sure that is even a word!
  6. Top 6 placings already decided (and the bottom 4). Pretty nondescript weekend of SPFL action ahead. Moult to get a double again in a 2-1 victory to take him to 20 for the season.
  7. Totally agree - Kennedy made a howler right at the end, gifting the ball to Griffiths, and he only got away with it because Ripley made the save.
  8. It will be enough. Just not for us.Possibility of 4 teams on 44 points come 5pm Saturday.
  9. We're always going on about how we don't talk up our players enough and, therefore, don't get adequate fees for them, if any at all. Now the management are doing exactly that, and there are complaints about it. This is exactly what is needed.
  10. By my reckoning, the only way we don't get top six with a win on Saturday is if Thistle and Dundee both win all 3 of their remaining fixtures and we lose against Celtic. They can both overtake us. All other connotations mean we are top six. edit - Actually 2 wins and a draw for both of them could do it on goal difference, too. As long as they both beat County. Just noticed another one - If we win on Sat and if County draw 1 and win 1 the team they draw against can win their other 2 and, if we get beat by Celtic, all 3 will be on 44 points and we have the worst goal difference. 2nd edit - looking at the fixtures it could possibly be a straight play-off type situation between County & Partick for 6th place at the last fixture before the split. What wouldn't be ideal is if County and Partick go in to this game needing a draw to both make top six given we'll have played Celtic at lunchtime.
  11. See when Skippy scored, he was getting it right up the Aberdeen fans. Did I miss something? Either at the game, or in the past, why he was so keen to get it up them? Don't get me wrong, I liked it. I liked the passion and the fight that has, perhaps, been lacking in recent times. Was just wondering.

Just been having a look through the fixtures. I still say one more win and we're safe from the play off place, especially if that comes against Inverness. If we win against ICT and get a point from either Aberdeen or Celtic I reckon we'll make the top six by the skin of our teeth.
  13. I was sitting right behind that shot and you've probably got no idea how much the ball moved in the last couple of yards before it reached him. Was straight down his throat and moved so close to him that there was no way he was going to adjust. edit - and McDonald got away with a clear hand ball in the lead up to the 2nd goal. But we'll take it.
  14. According to the wee video: Back four of Laing, McManus, Hall, Cadden Midfield of Faddy, Lasley, Gomis, Johnson edit - but likely to be as above. 3 centre halfs + wing backs

I said before Saturday's game that 5 wins (or 15 points) would do. I was hoping that those wins would come from the 5 games we still had to play against Killie and United. I still stand by that, but we have to make sure we don't lose any of the 4 remaining games against those 2 clubs whilst picking up the rest of the points elsewhere.
  16. Not a chance. Lasley was hopeless today. Barely any passes made their target. Headless chicken today, I'm afraid. I was shouting for Moult for Lasley after about 50 minutes.
  17. From the Twittersphere: re Michael O'Halloran's possible move to #Rangers, hearing that Nicky Law going the other way to St Johnstone could be part of any deal Not particularly related to us but rules out any notion that there may have been any chance he would be back with us.
  18. From what I gather from one of The Secret Footballer's books 'normal' players moving to MLS is not about salary, but is more about lifestyle & getting visas and permits for staying/living in the US once a career has finished. The marquee/designated players are the exception to the rule in terms of salary and standard.
