  1. I see that both Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have requested that a non-Turk referees their next game and a Slovenian has been appointed. I was thinking that Celtic and Rangers could do with something similar (and VAR too) to stop their whining. That got me thinking that maybe we should be moving in the direction of a pool of fullrime professional European, British and Irish referees that can officiate in any top flight league games. It would cut down on any conscious or unconscious bias and maybe would bring up the standard of the weaker officials i.e. ours.
  2. From the media piece on Theo Bair, it looks like we have an excellent analytics team and I would expect Wimmer to be fully briefed on all opponents.
  3. F1 isn't a sport. Its just a load of Kevs driving round in circles.
  4. He's still our player but that's a big shame as he seemed to be doing well out on loan. Hopefully he'll get a chance with us next season.
  5. Booing, shouting and jeering are three different things. None of them are legitimate criticism, they're just noise. Criticism should be reasonable, balanced and constructive like, for example, the majority of your posts are ill thought out and poorly worded which results in an overly negative narrative.
  6. So booing is legitimate criticism now? I always thought that it involved words of mainly more than one syllable put together in a coherent sentence.
  7. Rarely watch TV at all, certainly not any of that reality stuff. I'd imagine he has ancestors from Guernsey.
  8. Who's John Torode? Feel like I should know him as that's definitely a Guernsey name.
  9. I'm hoping that he brings German efficiency to his prematch media appointments. No more than three minutes please! Wilkommen in unserem kleinen Fußballverein.
  10. Three weeks in Thailand to look forward to this summer. Although the flights are costing a small fortune as we're tied to the school holidays. Hopefully the new manager will be in before we leave.
  11. Considering the relatively comfortable position that SK left us in, would it be worth sticking with Stevie Frail until the end of the season when the pool of potential applicants will be greater. Edit: David Martindale has ruled himself out.
  12. Sorry to see him go but glad that he mentioned the personal abuse being a factor. Some people just can't help but show their class and they are a stain on our club and on Scottish football in general.
  13. Looks as though Lee Erwin will be on the move again as he was released by HJK.
  14. Shane Blaney was solid all game, Tony Watt played well too.
  15. I'm a wee bit nervous about Balcombe's goalkeeping style but I think that the team are doing well so far. Watt's having a good game.
  16. If there was a serious problem between SK and Casey, then I doubt he'd be anywhere near the squad.
  17. So you did not hear what was shouted at the officials. Thank you.
  18. No-one suggested that you had called SK anything to his face. The suggestion was that that was how you debated on a forum. How can you be sure of what SK said? Were you sitting behind him?
  19. Lewis Ferguson might win nothing in his career but he's playing every week in Serie A against some of the best players in the world and is team captain.
  20. I'm very much on the rugby side of showing respect to referees, so I dislike SK's recent antics. However, are you suggesting that he has been shouting insults at the referees? I'm hundreds of miles away from Fir Park so could not hear what was said but I would suggest that it was along the lines of "that's a free-kick, sir", "there's a head injury", "how's that a yellow card?", etc. Perhaps with a few f*****gs thrown into the mix. I very much doubt that he was calling the referees c**ts and threatening to petrol bomb their houses.
  21. Name-calling is not the same thing as debating, not by a long stretch.
  22. I just hope that he doesn't take the lazy option like Turnbull did. He had at least one other option in Norwich which would have challenged him and he would have had a familiar face in Kenny McLean to mentor him. Hopefully Miller will look at how well Max is doing.
  23. 'Salright, the ball won't spend much time on it.
