  1. Ox may be allowed to leave if another club is interested. Can't imagine it being anything other than a free transfer.
  2. Ooh interesting, thank you very much, that's actually the day of my 50th.
  3. The manager and the players will all move on, we know that, but the key (in my opinion) is in the club board keeping on this path of employing young, ambitious managers with a dedication to this style of football. Paying reasonable fees for players with high potential which will generate transfer fees. Kyrk MacMillan impresses me whenever he speaks. I don't know so much about Brian Caldwell, but he joined with a very strong reputation. Even Nick Daws is no longer public enemy no.1! These are good times and they don't need to end when JBA, Just, Maswanhise, etc get their moves.
  4. Sorry for the confusion caused, I was referring to Just. I also hope that Slattery will show some loyalty by extending his contract and hopefully earn Motherwell a transfer fee. The club stood by him through serious injuries, so would be nice if he signed on, but can't really see it and wouldn't blame him if he left for free.
  5. He's on a two-year deal with the club holding the option of a third year though isn't he? Should be able to cash in on him either this summer or next.
  6. SODs has surely the most experience a left-back? I'd swap them, but agree with your team otherwise.
  7. They went to the hospital the night before, but it was a false alarm and they went back home. First thing next morning she gave birth before they could get in the car.
  8. Remember Jili Buyabu? He was a Motherwell player for about 23 minutes, before mysteriously disappearing back to Sheff Utd. Well, he delivered his own baby this morning because he couldn't get his wife to hospital. Mother and child both apparently doing well.
  9. Actually, there is one here on Guernsey. Just don't really like the idea of it yet, still feel young in my head.
  10. Thanks for the feedback, I'm pretty fit and lean for my age and good for 90 minutes, so hoping that I don't get injured now before the end of the season. I'll be looking to play either left or right back and had been thinking of playing for the away team (just because I like the shirt and have loads of C&A already), but may have to reconsider that.
  11. I'm in my 50th year and this season will probably be my last playing football, so I'd like to go out on a high. I'm hoping that there will be another one of these fans games on at the end of the season, so that I have an excuse to treat myself for my birthday, travel up to Scotland, kick a ball about and have a few beers after. Few things to get the ball rolling: If anyone here has participated in past events, please share your experiences (behind the scenes and on the pitch). What is the standard like or is it all mixed abilities / fitness? Roughly how much could a place in the team cost (got to factor hotel and flights into my budget).
  12. Would he be able to do that at a bigger club, though? I have my doubts, and feel that he is already at a place where he can do this.
  13. Surely he won't be an out this season, but do we know how long JBA is under contract for? I'd like to think that he's ours for the foreseeable future and that we can demand a few million in compensation when the time comes.
  14. Oscars are generally awarded for good acting performances, though.
  15. One of the locations where the abuse was found to have taken place was in Lanarkshire and the partner was blamed when he didn't perform well for Motherwell, so every chance that he was already toxic when he was sold.
  16. KvV scored a late equaliser for FC Eindhoven and they went on to win 3-2.
  17. Bonus point win, like in the rugby.
  18. Regarding McLean, it's the basics that he gets wrong, and how he gave two goal-kicks to them in quick succession in the first half baffles me. Butland tipped Maswanhise's shot onto the post, then Ratkin (actually did really well) headed the ball off the line and behind under pressure from two of our team.
  19. Gabby Agbonlahor is a worse pundit than Eni Aluko, so there's that.
  20. SoD and McGinn played well, Priestman had an excellent half, but Welsh gets my vote.
  21. It was a bad tackle, though. Can't argue about the red card
  22. Gordon will get thrown up front for the last ten if we're chasing the game.
  23. Maybe they have, Maswanhise has just been announced as G4 Player of the Month, so maybe the finances are all settled for this season.
