From that point of view I can agree with you: Stevie probably has the final word on signings and he is the one who has to face the media rather than Burrows or the recruitment chap who is so anonymous that I can't recall his name.
^I'd say that those signings are more a reflection on the performance of our head of recruitment. Stevie had very little time before the end of the summer window but the recruitment chap should have identified a number of targets way in advance irrespective of the managerial situation.
Hartley's a free agent so no harm in asking him along to training for a week or two and if he's past it then say cheerio, no harm done. Same goes for Leigh Griffiths.
Ipswich expect Penney to return in a couple of weeks. The manager was asked in a press conference today. He's out of contract in the summer so they probably want to get a few quid for him fairly soon.
Was watching it on TV and thought it could have been punished but the cameras didn't stay on them long enough to clearly see what happened. You'd think that the VAR cameras would have picked it up.
As a rugby fan, I really do think that they have it right by allowing the dialogue between the match officials and video refs to be heard by all. I really don't understand this need for secrecy when making important decisions in football matches.
