  1. Not the jug-eared bean-pole from Airdrie?? Surely a joke....
  2. ^ Good post, I think that it's time for us to develop from within both in terms of youth players and coaching staff too. We should be getting the likes of Keef and Hammy doing their coaching badges with solid job offers upon completion. It's a shame that Craggs didn't stay on as a coach, I see he's with the N.I.Youths now and he could have been good for us too.
  3. Not saying yes or no but it's a wee bit of balance and stability down the left side (among other things) that we need is it?
  4. Here you go, folks.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52EG34o4a1U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZwBkkyM9KQ
  5. We already had one though, surely there can't two people in this world that fit this description?? I think that we're just going to have to take this season on the chin, avoid a relegation dog-fight if possible and push for sixth place. McCall's contract is up this summer, I think, so we thank him very much, let him go with our best wishes and give the job to Scott Leitch (we'll end up with a cheap option anyway, might as well be 'one of ours') with Keith Lasley either as assistant manager or academy coach to go with the final year of his playing contract. We need a dosser in charge who knows the youth set-up and the boys that show the most potential.
  6. The loan window is still open though, would expect to see two or three out this month.

  8. I'll take own goals, anything to get our 'goals for' tally moving up.
  9. Just seen the Kerr tackle, the highlights didn't show what happened to McManus first but he went down clutching his face. Any suggestion of retaliation? His body language before and after didn't suggest that he had been going for the ball in my opinion.
  10. I'm delighted to see Kerr being played in his favoured position and finally putting in the kind of performances that we thought he might be capable of. So I hope that O'Brien's arrival doesn't see him benched / shunted out to right mid again. We were all calling for McCall to sign a replacement for Hutchy but maybe he was already here!

    Lee Hollis

No hard feelings at all, best of luck to him today and hope he's on the winning team. Edit: Nope, despite their two senior keepers both being injured, Hollis still can't get a game! Jack Hamilton (presumably the youth keeper??) is starting with Hollis on the bench.
  12. Don't suppose you or your relatives know the Kirklands do you??
  13. My cousin lives in Palmerston North, he's the only 'well fan that I know of down there although there's a whole crowd of them that are originally from Larkhall.
  14. There's a hardback on ebay for £4.92, I'll be keeping an eye out for the paperback though; thanks for the recommendation Andy.
  15. If I remember correctly Mark McGhee was brutal in pre-season, taking the players over to Germany and working them until they puked. We really need a more disciplinarian approach to training.
  16. Which websites do fellow overseas 'well fans us for live streams? I'm lost without myp2p.eu and only had bbc live texts for the first leg!!
  17. I've a funny feeling we'll go through on away goals!!
  18. Thanks, mate. With the exception of McHugh this may well be the strongest team available to us this season. Not much difference from last season thankfully but hopefully this season we'll have more competition for starting places and more options from the bench.
  19. If anyone has a spare moment, could someone post the starting lineup for yesterdays match? Cheers.
  20. For the sake of the Scottish co-efficient we should hope the Saints and Sheep win so that means that only two other underdogs would need to upset the odds.
  21. Stephen, came back to us briefly in 2011 and failed to win a new contract.
  22. Totally agree with you, which is why I was surprised when Mr. T. Rialist a.k.a. Craig Reid ended up going last year. Fair enough his situation wasn't straightforward with McManus turning the trip down in favour of a trial with Hibs.
  23. There was the Irish geezer Jones too, but I think that McCall has done very well with his signings so far. Actually, come to think of it, McHugh, Hollis and Cummings were already at the club when McCall arrived.
  24. Seems as if he's our new Freddie Dindeleaux.
