  1. Exactly! The thing of nightmares! Subtlety is the key....
  2. I liked it too and I think that, as has been previously mentioned here, thinking outside of the box to come up with something new and perhaps even inspiring would be great!!
  3. Just a wee thought. Scotland had a tartan design incorporated into their shirts a few years ag (96??), would Motherwell tartan look out of place on a Motherwell shirt? Something subtle though, not the whole shirt like Scotland did, maybe a tartan hoop on a home shirt or sash on an away kit??
  4. At first glance it seemed as if the flick for his second goal was meant for Humf but it fell short so he lashed it in himself, not sure but sharp thinking anyway. Either way, great technique from the big man for both goals.
  5. This on the beeb: Randolph Departure Stuart McCall braced for Darren Randolph's Motherwell departure Manager Stuart McCall thinks there is only a "slim possibility" that goalkeeper Darren Randolph will stay on at Motherwell. The 25-year-old has been a key player at Fir Park since his arrival on a free transfer in 2010. However, his deal expires at the end of the season and McCall is bracing himself for the Irishman's departure. "I have been surprised that we have not had offers for him over the 18 months," said McCall. "I would be absolutely delighted if we managed to keep Darren but I think it is a slim possibility. "Darren has been outstanding for us and if I was managing in the Championship now I would go for him straight away - and that's not me trying to off-load him. "He is not only an outstanding goalkeeper, he is a really good guy, he is composed, he gets about his job, never lets us down - you would think I am his agent but I am not. "I would be extremely surprised if he didn't have very good options." Randolph, who was on standby for Euro 2012 but did not make the Republic of Ireland's final squad, was coy on his future. "We have another five games left and I am the same as the other players out of contract," said the former Charlton keeper. "Wherever it, is I want to play. That's why everyone is in football, to play. "So wherever I can do that I will be there. "If we could keep the core of the team then I suppose it will make it easier to decide." McCall, who agreed a two-year contract extension in March, may have a major rebuilding job over the summer, with top-scorer Michael Higdon, Tom Hateley, Nicky Law, Chris Humphrey, Omar Daley, Simon Ramsden, Steven Saunders and James McFadden also out of contract at the season's end. His final comment is an interesting one but I think we will struggle to keep the core of our team and, therefore, him. Of the others I think Hateley (if Saunders stays), Daley, and Ramsden can leave with our blessing but we must do all that we can to keep Higdon, Faddy and Humf. Regarding Nicky Law I doubt that we have any say in the matter as he'll be off to bigger and better things elsewhere. As an aside, Darren Barr has been freed by Hearts. Is he any good?
  6. Fair point there Ian, the money could be better spent elsewhere if Hollis is capable and also supposing we have a decent back-up coming through the youths?
  7. I still worry about us playing on the telly on a Friday night , these fixtures have not always worked out well for us. Tannadice is always a difficult place to go as well but we're on a good run now so maybe we can get a positive result against a very inconsistent United. Maybe 2-2? I'd like to see Ojamma get a goal or two before the end of the season, his performances deserve it and it's not quite worked out for him this season.
  8. He is supposed to have turned his back on them when a group of Leeds fans burnt a chip van to take the piss out of the Bradford Fire....
  9. Exactly why would they need to do that? Tell me, I'm curious....
  10. My condolences to all that knew him, very sad news indeed.
  11. ^He scored 8 according to wikipaedia.
  12. Last day seemingly, just put in five votes from our house!
  13. Lots of decent players at lots of SPL clubs are out of contract in the summer but there was really no need for him to be so specific in naming our club and our players. He could have spoken in quite general terms about Rangers' need to recruit players locally and would have been 100% correct in doing so.
  14. Silly question from someone who wasn't there.... why are we in our away kit at Fir Park?
  15. Was the raffle ever drawn for this?
  16. Page is from Portsmouth is he not? With the state that Pompey are in he might be able to go on trial down there and win a contract. Best of luck to him, hope to see him playing at a decent level in the future.
  17. His wage was freed up as soon as he went out on loan, wasn't it? Might not make much difference to us if that is true. Also, McCall said he expected to see only one player out the window?
  18. Carswell injured, Saunders not ready yet.
  19. Kerr's been a bit of a mixed bag though eh. Wouldn't be surprised if his loan isn't extended. Any u-20's look ready for a seat on the first xi bench?
  20. I'd be happy to chuck in if anyone has a paypal account to I could wire the money to? A fair few other overseas 'well fans should be interested too. Edit: agree with Yabba, youth development ....
  21. Hope you had a few bob on it, mate.
  22. Will Doyle's be disallowed?
  23. .... gaps in the terraces too, only 100 of our boys there today according to the beeb.
