  1. One possible exception would be Humphrey though eh? Decent chance on the volley early on and kind of faded away after that. Who take his place though?
  2. I had the dodgy french commentator too and a crappy interrupted internet connection but still enjoyed seeing our first win over the hoops since Skippy Sunday (I think?).
  3. A bitterly disappointing result after our recent progress, but one should always try to look on the bright side. Accies are another three points closer to Division One.
  4. I'll not criticise McCall until he's had the summer to work on the squad. A tough pre-season will do them good (more like the McGhee style perhaps?), a few new faces in and a few old ones out. Maybe we'll even see the completion of the Grella deal if he's still not getting a look-in at Leeds.
  5. So he's pish and he's unfit, but he got off the bench instead of our goal machine. Really don't know what to think about that.
  6. Name sounds vaguely familiar, which position does he play?
  7. He's another gowser type, not many other clubs want him, we've no cash and if he wants to stay he really needs to earn a new contract. Needs to show what he's made of, gowser failed but we're no worse off as a result.

    Casagolda

Surely Stranraer would be too late? We can't afford to pay someone to just sit on the bench. I really hoped that he'd turn out to be a special player but he would have had a run of games by now if that were the case.
  9. Rob Maaskant's debut shirt v the h*n. Looked quite a player in that game....

    Semi Final

9-0 again? Blackman cup-tied too, haha! By the way the beeb don't have Gunning in the squad, perhaps just a mistake on their part (hopefully).
  11. Very decent young player, will score more goals than Blackman if we can get him.

    Steve Jones

Strange kind of a loan agreement though because he's out of contract in the summer, so effectively he's already been released and he can stay on at F.P. next season all being 'well.
  13. I agree with you there mate, although the pessimism is understandable. We've got a new boss, a decent bunch of kids and a couple of 'exceptional' trialists at the club so lets see what happens. There's a very fine line between top half and bottom after all.

    Dundee Game

Watched the game on myp2p.eu and, despite missing the entire first half due to technical difficulties, was very impressed with the performance. Sutton and Murphy worked very well together up front. Would have liked to have seen CasaGol given a decent runout at 3-0 but nevermind Stuart McCall clearly knows what he is doing so he'll get his chance soon enough if he is really worth the hype.
  15. The link to the 09 goalie kit doesn't seem to be working.
  16. Working fine for me on the other side of the world. Looks rather smart.
  17. I've always liked Stuart McCall, he's got that fighting spirit and that determination. Not my first choice as a manager mind but give the chap a chance and he may show that he has the talent to succeed under difficult circumstances. You need to start somewhere and if you can build a decent team with no cash then you have a gift and you deserve recognition for that.
  18. Lukas' penalty against Rangers stood out for me too but for the wrong reason - for Jamie Murphy cheating.
  19. Jamie Murphy's goal that beat Hibs in my first ever trip to Fir Park.
  20. Who on God's green Earth was Said Chiba?
  21. 'special dispensation' I think they call it. Means as long as you are in the process of getting your badges you can managd a club.
  22. Don't forget our club and many others came about as a result of mergers. Was there opposition to it in the 19th century? Probably, but our club established itself as the best and the most popular team in Lanarkshire and we're still here.
  23. My Grand-dad was from Larkhall and grew up supporting the 'other' Glasgow team Third Lanark as he disliked the involvement of religion in football. After their demise he ended up being a Motherwell fan, although he always called them 'a dud lot' and never really encouraged me to support them. He became so fed up with Scottish football that he started watching the rugby instead.
  24. Right, new manager sorted now alls we need is his no.2. If only we could afford to bring Malpas back, that would be a real dream team.
  25. So what's the script with McNamee? Still training with the 'well? Makes you wonder what makes the biggest impression on a chap - the team mates, the gaffer, the cash, the town, the fans.... I hope he gets offered a contract as he'd give the squad a bit more than Alan Gow does.
