  1. Please please please call up Reynolds and Hammell, to see both Kenneth AND Crainey in the dark blue at the same time really would be taking the piss. God help us if the other Caldwell gets a game too.

I'm unable to go into sg sports, being several thousand miles away, so I was just after an update.
  3. That last effort really isn't too bad. The second one would have looked significantly better with Kellog's Frosties as the sponsor though.

Does anyone know if the xara stuff got sold out or are there still some bargains to be found?
  5. Would anyone be able to post a pic of the 'dortmund' one? I've no memory of that kit despite having the jester shorts.
  6. I concur with The Brazilian: pink doesn't belong in football.
  7. I agree that Butch is now a 'well legend, did a decent job under extremely difficult circumstances. Was sad to see him go, even moreso after a year with MM at the helm. This legend thing (with regard to players) is for kids though, we've all got our own favourites from our own era and those memories will stay with us. I was 15 when we won the cup, that was my time and I watched the game with my Grandfather. Did he have any heroes that day? No, he was still talking about '52.
  8. Kirk and Arnott, top of the list for me. Probably Maxwell, Griffin and Angus as the other three but how about them v a 2nd V of Dykstra, Cusack, O'Neil, Boyd and Nijholt in the 5-a-sides?
  9. This should have been his season to gain experience and really establish himself in the first team. Terrible shame that we won't see him again 'til next year.

That goal up at Hampden.... Did he mean it? Course he did, gifted player. Get well soon.
  11. Why don't the sfa put as much time and energy into improving the pitches, facilities and coaching that are available to the future generations of Scottish footballers? We might even end up with a national team that's worth our support one day.
  12. It would be nice to see a gifted player like skacel at the well but he'd be another risk. He's been on a downward spiral since leaving hearts as has gow since leaving falkirk. Can we afford two players at the top end of the wage structure that may or may not recapture their former form?
  13. Sorry, meant whittaker not broadfoot, get those useless h*n basterds mixed up all the time.
  14. Very tidy player is danny fox, great left peg, scottish grandpa, looked good at both celtic and burnley last season. Can't understand how he missed out in favour of broadfoot and mcaveley.
  15. Injuries / unavailabilities a couple of years ago could have given hughes and g smith a chance too but they were ignored. We can go back as far as boyd (got in only just before he left), maxwell and mccart for more examples.

Hope you have more luck finding bodies to fill positions than Mr. Brown did.
  17. Give the lad a chance eh? He's not even kicked a ball for us yet. By the way, a 6 month contract would take him almost to the end of the season (early march) so if he were to leave in january it would be for a fee?
  18. Hope you had a great time Laura, I saw my first game at Fir Park last season and it was great although my daughter was a wee bit upset at the noise. She'll get used to it though.
  19. Just saw that Steelmen Army put up a 'new user' thread so this may as well be mine. Hello, I'm a new user. I'm from Guernsey, my Ma's from Bellshill and my grandparents were from Larkhall.
  20. Cheers folks, should be sorted now. Here we are and it's buzzing around the ground before the match, kind of. ScotRail was on strike that day so hardly anyone turned up. The O'Donnell Stand. John Ruddy, was looking forward to seeing him but he had very little to do. Liam Miller didn't last long, bit of a kerfuffle there. The bairn wasn't too keen on the booing that Miller was subjected to. Free-kick to Hibs, resulting from yet another poor refereeing decision. We got a goal in the end and right in front of us too - Sutton to Murphy 1-0. Hibs didn't bring many supporters with them. Good result followed by a wee bit of shopping, several items for just 18 quid! We really enjoyed our first ever Motherwell match and we'll certainly be back next time we visit Scotland.
  21. Just saw on the beeb website that their goalie is being lined up as van der sar's replacement at ManUre. Anders Lindegaaard. Still think we'll sneak an away goal though.
  22. Help, can't seem to get the pictures to work!
  23. Went to my first ever game at Fir Park in February, waited years for the chance.... Got myself a new top too, bought loads of stuff in the club shop sale for only 18 quid!
  24. Just gets better and better.
