  1. ^ save money on the keepers and invest in a couple of competent wingbacks.
  2. If The Ox is up to the task then I'm more than happy for him to have a shot at being first choice with a young understudy. Having two goalies on a high wage is a waste in my opinion.
  3. I honestly thought you meant Les but yes, Shaun could probably help our defence.
  4. Good discussion for the ex-Well player thread.
  5. McCrorie should have left years ago. Throughout the SPL there aren't many clubs that give chances to homegrown 'keepers so really no point in sticking around.
  6. I'd love to but flights are nearly £500 so can't justify the cost.
  7. I'm satisfied that we worked our way out of our rut rather than sacking SK and keeping fingers crossed that that would fix it. I'm also satisfied by the performances of a handful of individuals and by the effort of the team as a unit throughout the season. There's a lot of room for improvement though and a lot of players leaving so I hope that SK can learn from his mistakes and put together a more solid squad for next season.
  8. Just googled it. Are you referring to the Richard Brittain dispute from eleven years ago? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/23083594 EDIT: Sorry, must remember to turn the page before answering!
  9. Rikki Lamie's was cancelled when Dundee were last relegated but that may have been a specific relegation clause.
  10. Is the Obileye thing a genuine rumour or merely a case of Chinese Whispers?
  11. I thought it was deep enough that Kelly should have come out for it.
  12. For those of you that are able to remember, how does Willie Kilmarnock fare when discussing club legends? I only ask as he was our first captain to lift the Scottish Cup and the archive footage suggests that he played a prominent role in keeping Dundee out that day.
  13. Even at 48 I'd have been very interested in this but being outside the U.K. I need a wee bit more warning. Hopefully they'll do it again next year.
  14. As long as he's not a cocaine bear on the day we should be more than a match for him.
  15. Is Callan Elliot definitely away? Don't remember seeing it on the website.
  16. They use it in the highlights packages after every game.
  17. He can at least try blaming SO'D for their goal. Terrible first touch or something.
  18. This was a weird one as it was actually a proper solid team performance with no-one (in my opinion) really standing out.
  19. That would make sense as it really is pathetic the way some players do that. Standard practice in rugby but for a different reason and keeps the game moving.
  20. Kelly O'Donnell McGinn Casey Blaney Gent Holliday Miller Nicholson Spittal Bair
  21. What a great idea, just discovered that Motherwell beat Hearts 2-1 at Tyncastle on the day that I was born. Helps being a Saturday child.
  22. Yeah, agreed and I'm thinking of Carl McHugh.
  23. That's harsh mate, I accept that Spittal hasn't been as influencial in the last two or three games but to suggest that it's because of his move isn't acceptable. He's still working as hard as ever and who was it that got his head in the way of a certain goal at the back post?
  24. I agree, I thought that Collum was having a good game up until that point. To be fair to him, he's not that bad but there is often a turning point in games when he completely loses the plot thereafter. The stramash could have been it on this occasion, especially as he bizarrely played on with two balls on the pitch straight after and I was thinking.... Oh no, here we go, he's snapped again.... But he kept his shit together.
